I got an idea that I should post some of our favorite old movies. If you are comfortable with reading from English subtitles.

This one that came to my mind first is a real evergreen gem. "Majstori, majstori!", the title translated into English as "All That Jacks", a movie from 1980, was filmed in only 18 days without a real budget. The plot is formally made about a cleaning woman in the most prestigious school who is going into a retirement. In the meantime, a sexy English teacher has filed a rape allegation. School supervisor is sending a young clerk to see what is happening, but he takes his assignment too seriously.

The movie was firstly banned when it came out because of presenting the school system in Communist Yugoslavia in a bad way. But soon after the ban was removed because of the movie's artistic quality.

What I find funny is that in reality English teachers have indeed always been the most handsome and sexy for some reason.

I hope the video will remain on Youtube for some time.

Ko to tamo peva (Who's Singin' Over There) (1980) - Full Movie English Subbed [HD]

A dark comedy of characters. It is Saturday, April 5th 1941. Hitler's attack on the Kingdom of Yugoslavia is expected. At a rural bus station in Serbia, a group of different kinds of people are heading for Belgrade.

Probably the most cult Serbian movie ever made. Various phrases from this movie had entered the common every-day speech.
