Apparently we are becoming a rare species...

I assume you are talking about Hammer production?
I remember Anvil, another low budget production co.

I probably have over a hundred of these movies, from night of the living dead, to Creature from the black lagoon.
I love em, but ST...well, they put her to sleep. :o :D

Apparently we are becoming a rare species...

Dracula, Frankenstein and legions more of slavering creatures all invaded our cinemas thanks to this hardy band of schlockmeisters. Heaving bosoms. Bared fangs. Irate villagers with torches, and terrorized screams in the night. That's entertainment.

Have you seen the two Doctor Phibes films with Vincent Price? Not exactly Hammer, but so comfortably close it surely qualifies. Budget---low. Camp factor---high. Pop the corn, and enjoy the show.

I object to this statement.  All tv watched in bed puts me to sleep... Oh wait - being in bed puts me to sleep...no - anytime after 9:30 pm puts me to sleep....yeah that seems right.   8) 8) 8)

Nice link!

Until I scrolled through their backlog listing, I hadn't known that Hammer had done a Sherlock Holmes story, "The Hound of the Baskervilles," with my two favorite Hammer actors: Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.

The two films that stood out among all Hammer films: "She," with Ursula Andress, and "One Million Years B.C.," with Raquel Welch. Both remain cult classics.

Until I started searching for a certain movie, I had no idea that Hammer was that old, I thought they started in the 50s with B movies.
Loved, "One Million Years B.C."... :D

I used to watch the Hammer House of Horrors when I was little.  Those were my first intro to horror I think.

Mine was Anvil productions, 3 movies for a buck at the drive in. :D
I loved that stuff, you got the latest release, and two older movies that were usually better than the headliner.

Man, if we had more drive-ins during my day, I would probably have 15 kids right now.....
