We need gas cars that have better mileage, and simpler design/longer lasting/easier to maintain.
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

That's why I bought a diesel. One million mile engine is pretty impressive.

I assume you have a pick-up/Super Duty type. Don't some of those don't last as long as excepted?

I bought the Cummins engine, so the truck body may not last, but the drive train will make it.

Isn't that pretty much what has been going on? I mean, not to argue but it's been awhile that I've had to change out the points and condenser. Or play with the choke to get it to start. Or push it, hop in and pop the clutch to start it. Or even change out the hoses.

Can't tell you when the last overhaul I did, probably around '75 or 6. Had one Ram go over 350,000, no repairs! Actually I have over a million miles on the rams I have driven, no repairs.
The 3/4 ton I am driving now gets better gas milage than the Maverick I drove in high school. (That one had repairs, after it cooled down).

Have to admit, they are getting more complicated, but that comes with everything they can do now, things we did not even think possible growing up. But, where they are more complicated, a quick engine read can usually pinpoint the problem for you.

To be honest, if you want to see even more improvements, get the government out of the car business.  Let Ram and Ford decide where the milage will be, what the safety should be, not the government, if I don't like it I won't buy it seems to work, what the hell do they know about trucks anyway.

I agree. Keep government out of things unless necessary. They are the ones deciding what type of car we must drive. Next thing you know, they will come up with the "people's car". Let's include not being taxed perpetually on our cars every year.

Sometimes, I feel we were better off adjusting points versus having a computer.

I miss being able to do my own repairs. I have been lucky, I have not had a truck in the shop for many years, but back in the day, putting one in the shop would have been a last resort. I would have at least tried. I also miss not having all that plastic on top of the engine, you used to be able to see the engine.

Based on what we know of Hydrogen causing metal fatigue/brittleness, you'd probably have to replace the tanks and membrane before a ten year period.
Otherwise, they could literally explode in an accident. The fire ball could decimate an intersection, and if there were enough hydrogen cars on the road, a chain reaction worst case scenario.
