Well, I guess we can kiss the Catholic religion to the curb. :glare:

The Vatican defrocked pro-life priest Father Frank Pavone this week for what it claimed were "blasphemous" social media posts and alleged disobedience to his bishop, but he has vowed to continue exposing abortion, Democrats, and "the Swamp."

In a letter to American bishops from the Vatican ambassador to the United States, Archbishop Christophe Pierre explained the decision was made in early November and "there was no chance for an appeal," the Associated Press (AP) reported Sunday.

In a social media post-Saturday evening, Pavone said, "We have only just begun exposing #abortion, exposing the Democrats, exposing the Swamp (in both the state & the church)."

"One of the tactics of them all is that they think they can get away with their evil and shut the rest of us up. Wow, have they underestimated their opponents!" he continued:

I am not Catholic and I have many friends who are Catholic. They are faithful and dedicated people. Unfortunately, the leadership of the church is totally corrupt.

Yeah, the church exposed itself as Marxist a decade ago. How the people haven't made change is beyond me.

In my view the biggest problem is the membership deifies a person who is nothing more than an elected politician.

My wife is Catholic, I am Lutheran, we both enjoyed the fellowship that was offered by both. But somewhere along the passing of time we felt both that the church felt it had to redefine what the bible meant. We stopped going. Our faith is as strong if not stronger as it had been, but I do miss the fellowship.

Same here. I left the church in the early 70s, all denominations, the hypocrisy palpable, it went against the teachings Christ and the Bible itself.
Never again will I set foot in a church, God knows where my heart is.

Same here. Many believers remain faithful, but the "church experience" is not what it was growing up.

Lol, not sure if it's the right place and if I'm not being annoying, but you haven't tried the Eastern Orthodox Church. You are disappointed with churches you have encountered with, but those are not the real Church anyways, and that is why they are fraudulent.

As Church is Body of Christ, and Christ is its Head, there is only one Christ and one Body of Christ - therefore one Church, and history says it is the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Surely, many of our Church leadership is currently also corrupt, mostly by Bolsheviks or by Vatican, but we have been through many crisis over the centuries, and in spite of them Jesus was leading our Church to remain faithful.

I am sad to see people believe in Christ but they are without the Church, and they haven't tried the real thing so far.

I wouldnt be surprised if sometime soon we see something like a second reformation. Real christian catholics rising up and separating from the satanic leadership.

The left tries to use the decline in church attendance to say christianity is on a downward trend, but despite a drop in attendance at physical churches more and more people are finding God and becoming christian without joining any organized church. In reality the religious are on the uptick, while atheism is dying.

Yes, there is probably not an Eastern Orthodox church in every town, but I suppose in larger cities there should be at least one, or in some town around. Also, Eastern Orthodox Church leadership is in a bad pact with Vatican not to actively evangelize, so unfortunately Orthodox bishops and priests won't come to you, so one who wants to become Eastern Orthodox has to find them. And not all Orthodox priests are really spiritual, so one should find a church with the priest who is really into Christian spirituality and who is willing to help.

We who were born in Eastern Orthodoxy are taking the faith in a more relaxed way because we take it for granted, there is a church around each corner and we usually even don't go to the church every Sunday as we should be. But converts to Eastern Orthodoxy are usually more into Christian spirituality, exploring and learning. That is why I myself am learning from You Tube channels of converts to Eastern Orthodoxy, like David Patrick Harry ("Church of the Eternal Logos") in America and Father Spyridon in Britain, they got such enthusiasm like not many who were born in Eastern Orthodoxy have. Oh, and there is of course Daria ("sanctisbovis") also in America, her enthusiasm is incredibly encouraging, she is not that active on You Tube, but her videos are amazing.

You spoke about the invisible Church, and you are right in the way that only Christ knows who is part of his Body, and we can't know, so it is invisible to us. Even a man who has never heard of Jesus can become the Body of Christ if he is intuitively following Jesus in his heart. And many who consider themselves Christians are not Body of Christ because they don't follow Jesus in their hearts. But we got the visible Church in order that we know what we should do in order to become the Body of Christ. There is the process called theosis in which we are becoming like God by participating in the Holy Mysteries of the Orthodox Church. That is why I can't encourage you to believe it is enough to have faith in Jesus but not be a part of the visible Church, my obligation by my conscience is to invite you to taste and see the Orthodox Church and its Holy Mysteries.

Here is a history question for you. Why didnt the eastern orthodox spread east and south, into china, india and the middle east?

Well it did. It just didn't become predominant. Because it is not aggressive and it never converts anyone by force. It only invites people to join.

Eastern Orthodox Christians were slaughtered in China by the communists during the "cultural revolution", but the Church saw its revival in 1980s.

In India, I don't know for the Eastern Orthodox Church. There is Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, which is Oriental Orthodox not Eastern, and there are some differencies in beliefs.

The Middle East is the cradle of Christianity, so in the first place there is the Church of Antioch, the city where the believers in Christ called themselves Christians for the first time. The Church of Antioch was the first of the five major Churches of the early Pentarchy in Christianity (Antioch, Jerusalem, Alexandria, Rome, Constantinople). Since Antioch is now in Turkey, the Patriarch of Antioch resides in Damascus, Syria, in exile.
