Oh boy the freakouts have started.  People who've been entrenched in D.C. know their cushy jobs are gone once President Trump retakes office (officially).

During Trump's first term, a lot of these deep-staters were identified.  They know their days are numbered.

https://www.axios.com/2022/07/22/trump-2025-radical-plan-second-term

QuoteFormer President Trump's top allies are preparing to radically reshape the federal government if he is re-elected, purging potentially thousands of civil servants and filling career posts with loyalists to him and his "America First" ideology, people involved in the discussions tell Axios.

The impact could go well beyond typical conservative targets such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Internal Revenue Service. Trump allies are working on plans that would potentially strip layers at the Justice Department — including the FBI, and reaching into national security, intelligence, the State Department and the Pentagon, sources close to the former president say.

During his presidency, Trump often complained about what he called "the deep state."

The heart of the plan is derived from an executive order known as "Schedule F," developed and refined in secret over most of the second half of Trump's term and launched 13 days before the 2020 election.

The reporting for this series draws on extensive interviews over a period of more than three months with more than two dozen people close to the former president, and others who have firsthand knowledge of the work underway to prepare for a potential second term. Most spoke on condition of anonymity to describe sensitive planning and avoid Trump's ire.

No doubt.  I love the people who throw out the "he should've already done it his first term", like it's just no big deal to fire a bunch of entrenched deep staters, which wasn't even possible early on.

The approach they took with the Schedule F XO is beautiful.

This article is really good and everyone should read it, written of course from a libtardian perspective.

QuoteThey intend to stack thousands of mid-level staff jobs. Well-funded groups are already developing lists of candidates selected often for their animus against the system — in line with Trump's long-running obsession with draining "the swamp." This includes building extensive databases of people vetted as being committed to Trump and his agenda.

The preparations are far more advanced and ambitious than previously reported. What is happening now is an inversion of the slapdash and virtually non-existent infrastructure surrounding Trump ahead of his 2017 presidential transition.

These groups are operating on multiple fronts: shaping policies, identifying top lieutenants, curating an alternative labor force of unprecedented scale, and preparing for legal challenges and defenses that might go before Trump-friendly judges, all the way to a 6-3 Supreme Court.

Following the past Trump Administration, I was struck with the number of holdovers from the Obama admin. In the 23 years I worked in the civil service, it was a gimme that when the administration changed, normally withing the first month or so, most of the political SES and Exec Service employees were dismissed, and this was across the govt. Sorta like Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre, the press will make a stink of of, but it was/is common practice.  I think Trump was ill prepared, and a lot of Obama's crap was still walking around. Plus, The Vice Presidential Residence and Office was moved over to Ward's Circle for a reason, to make sure the ass hole was not within walking distance of the White House. Hopefully he will prepare for the second massacre, fire all US Attorney's, nationwide, regardless of political leanings, he can reappoint any US Attorney he's sure are on his team.

So what you will about Obama, but dumb is not one of them. I saw reports when he was in office how he was placing loyalists in civil service positions and not as political appointees. That way they could not be replaced without as political appointees are free game.

Can't remember the details but Obama changed the rules to do this. Trump and a republican congress should be able to fix this. Hopefully.

Obozo was no idiot, but he was lazy as fuck. Most of what he did was at the direction of his communist keepers.
I believe Hillary was the only one with an actual plan, evil one no doubt, but she would have been the one calling the shots.
I'm glad Obozo was lazy, he left a lot of judicial appointments vacant for trump to take advantage of.

I disagree with this.  He was prepared. If he wasn't, he would have been face-down in the Potomac by February.  He knew what he was walking into, hence why it was brave of him to run for President.  He was going against the biggest, most powerful and evil forces literally on the planet.  I feel like that gets lost with far too many.

Does this seem like someone who wasn't prepared?: https://prospect.org/power/trump-s-private-security-force-operational-legal-swamp/

QuotePresident-elect Donald Trump doesn't seem to tire of setting new precedents. Despite being provided with a newly bolstered Secret Service detail after the election, the president-elect has retained his own private security and intelligence force, breaking with tradition and creating operational and potentially legal problems.

Last month, Trump spokesman Jason Miller responded to a Politico article citing supposed fault lines between Secret Service agents and members of Trump's private security team, calling it "wildly out of proportion." Yet Miller confirmed that Trump will continue to be surrounded by "longtime allies and advisers." Among those is Keith Schiller, a former New York police detective who has worked as Trump's bodyguard for 17 years and recently as his head of security during the campaign.

He was clearly an idiot, but I agree the machine around him were smart and had a plan.  57 states?  Didn't know what P/E ratio meant? (remember, he was being "courted by Wall Street")  On top of that, he was a devout Marxist, supported by John C. Drew's interviews.  Marxists aren't very smart by default, because if the were, they wouldn't be Marxists.

I agree with you Obama was lazy - and I am grateful for that. He could have done much more damage with the judiciary. Trump was well aware of this and judges were a priority with him.
