Wisconsin law does allow the possession of a weapon.  I am sure there is a tweaking here, where the law most likely puts an age limit on the purchase of a weapon, but not the possession.  It
actually can't be proven that Rittenhouse purchased the weapon (he did not). (me just speculating)
Regardless Judge has dismissed the charge.  I think the prosecution has just lost a lot of ground.

This is great, just what we expected.

Last year we had it out with someone on this forum who was INSISTING that the law was clear that kyle could NOT have that gun, and we kept pointing out that the law is instead clear that there is a loophole for 16 and 17 year olds. This has finally vindicated our position here.

Ok, here is the link to the relevant law, and there are links in the law to any other relevant statutes.

Binger is desperate. He is depending on some jurors to be idiots and/or scared to acquit.

With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

So people with concealed carry permits are incapable of self-defense. Gotcha', DailyCaller.

Especially after Binger pulled a Baldwin by pointing a gun at the jury. That pretty well sums up his performance at this trial, and the general state of the world right now for that matter.

Buying Witnesses?

Prosecution's star witness in Kyle Rittenhouse case is a career criminal with a history of domestic abuse, prowling, trespass and burglary - but had charges DROPPED just six days before trial began and jury never learned of his past

Gaige Grosskreutz, 28, was shot by Kyle Rittenhouse in August 2020, and appeared as the prosecution's star witness last week
DailyMail.com has learned Grosskreutz is a violent career criminal with a laundry list of prior offenses and convictions stretching back more than a decade
These include domestic abuse, prowling, trespass, two DUIs, felony burglary and two charges of carrying a firearm while intoxicated
Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger was well aware of this when he paraded Grosskreutz as a paragon of selfless virtue in front of the jury
Less than ten days before he was shot by Rittenhouse, Grosskreutz was arrested and charged with prowling when he was caught videotaping cops' personal cars
But the Rittenhouse jury heard none of this because just six days before he took the stand, Grosskreutz's DUI charge was dismissed on a technicality
Had Grosskreutz's latest DUI charge not been dismissed, Rittenhouse's defense would have been allowed to question him under oath about the offense

Video, pics and a whole lot more.

They should revoke his law degree based on the ignorance of that statement. The second Amedt IMPLIES the right of self defense which makes it a Constitutional right. The courts in several Jurisdictions recognize the right of self defense. Even when the "victim" is engaged in illegal activity.

Agree, and if nothing else, forced to sit through 10.000 hours of Constitutional Law with a focus on the Bill of Rights.
This guy is an embarrassment to all lawyers.

Regardless of a jury outcome, I believe Kyle will be exonerated and free to walk.
I knew I liked this judge, he's a clear thinker and that has the left in a tizzy.

I want to hear how they explained away not producing the original. God, communists are scum!

Prosecutors Withheld Evidence From The court

Kyle Rittenhouse prosecutors HELD BACK high-def drone footage of Kenosha shootings from defense and gave them low quality video  - sparking them to file mistrial motion that could see teen walk free
Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger initially shared low quality drone footage from the night of the shooting with the defense
The defense claims Binger only shared the high-definition footage after evidence had closed on Saturday
According to a motion filed today by the defense,  'The problem is the prosecution gave the defense a compressed version of the video'
'What that means is the video provided to the defense was not as clear as the video kept by the state,' the motion states
Lawyers for Rittenhouse filed their motion for mistrial with prejudice based on this and several other grounds
