Prosecutors at the Kenosha shooter trial have admitted that 'a reasonable jury or juror' could acquit Kyle Rittenhouse on the most serious charges that he faces.

But today the state admitted that they had no confidence that the testimony presented in court would see him convicted as they attempted to enter second degree and lesser charges as possible verdicts across the board.

And in a startling turn of events the judge may even dismiss the least of the charges - the one that seemed a state slam-dunk - illegal possession of a firearm.

Also, the gun charge was not dismissed, but the judge said it could be read in a way favorable to the defense, and gave the jury the defense's version of the jury instructions for that charge.

This morning, the trial judge has dismissed the weapons charge against Rittenhouse, apparently the
Wisconsin law does allow the possession of a weapon.  I am sure there is a tweaking here, where the law most likely puts an age limit on the purchase of a weapon, but not the possession.  It
actually can't be proven that Rittenhouse purchased the weapon (he did not). (me just speculating)
Regardless Judge has dismissed the charge.  I think the prosecution has just lost a lot of ground.
