If it wasn't so serious, it would be laughable.

OMG! Liberals are sooo fuckin stupid when it comes to our Constitution, and more specifically, our Bill Of Rights, the very Document that hamstrings the Federal Govt from enacting such boneheaded laws.
There is no such thing as the "Supremacy Clause" when it comes to the Bill of Rights!

DoJ Invokes 'Supremacy Clause' to Warn Missouri About Second Amendment Legislation

In what may be the first shot fired in the coming gun-control wars between states that support the Second Amendment and Joe Biden's Justice Department, Missouri Governor Mike Parson and state Attorney General Eric Schmitt received a letter from DoJ warning them that the bill the governor just signed into law — The Second Amendment Preservation Act — may violate the supremacy clause of the Constitution, which gives the federal government the power to nullify any law they say conflicts with our founding document.

"The Second Amendment Preservation Act is about protecting law-abiding Missourians against government overreach and unconstitutional federal mandates," Parsons wrote in a letter to the Justice Department.

My goodness...

Their stupidity is just overwhelming at times.
I would never have even conceived of such a thing as this. It entirely bass-ackwards.
Youre right, its hilarious until you realize they are serious about it and want to enslave us all.

To a Constitutionalist, to a Conservative, to a sane person, to a thinking person this is ridiculous but, the Democrats believe that the Constitution is a "living document" and can be changed as they see fit. The law doesn't matter to Democrats, the Constitution doesn't matter to Democrats and the Bill of Rights is not important as far as Democrats are concerned. Everything should be changed according to what they want at the moment.

Yep, this literally exposes just how stupid liberals are of our history.
We The People need to write a clause for elected leaders, that they must read and understand all of our Founding Documents, take a test, pass with 100% before they are allowed to throw their hat into the ring.

I really do not think that's asking too much.

Better yet, we, the people hold a live question and answer session where the candidate needs to explain how our Constitution came to be, why we have a Bill of Rights and explain how it's a barrier against the Federal Govt.

Can you imagine just how many people, for the first time in their lives, would learn our history?

I agree with you however, your clause does not go far enough. Just reading and understanding the founding documents does not mean that they will abide by them.

Wait...so, the federal government is telling the states that the federal government shall not infringe on the 2A and that the states best enforce that?

Or, did the DOJ rewrite the constitution and simply forgot to tell we the people?

It's crazy, it's as if the Marxists believe the Supremacy Clause supersedes the Bill of Rights.
I swear, these people don't get any dumber.

No offense but, it's not that liberal Democrats are dumb. It's that liberal Democrats think that they are superior to the founding Fathers and are pushing for the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights to be "living documents" that Democrats can change at will based upon whatever is in their political best interests at the time.

Yeah, that's the epitome of dumb, or rather, arrogantly stupid.

As I see it, the  Supremacy Clause protects the bill of rights. Article 2 protects gun ownership, and no law may be written to void that, that's where the Supremacy Clause steps it, Article 2
is part of the Supreme Law of the Land, It can be voided by amendment, but not by Law, neither
state nor federal.  And you can damn well bet no skanky assed regulation can superceed the Constitution.

My confusion comes from my question(s) as to why we need ANY law, rule or legislation to uphold the Constitution or Bill of Rights. The Constitution and Bill of Rights came first, before any law, rule or legislation. It just seems like circular logic to me.
