You missed the part where an innocent woman was shot by someone in our government and so far has not been arrested.

Looks to me like Putin is bringing up the murder of Ashli Babbitt
to deflect criticism of his "alleged" assassination of Navalny,
and to tweak Biden's nose. He wants to humiliate Biden.

That part of Putin's effort might not work.

I most certainly mourn the loss of her life. She was part of an insurrection which regrettably resulted in the loss of other lives as well. None of that has anything to do with Putin trying to kill Navalry.
