"Yes, and there are quite a number of them", that video is quite old too...

the government is not obligated to reveal, confirm nor deny, any or all defensive measures, or infrastructure to the public.   The scope and purpose of underground facilities, who is allowed in... changes, like Iphones & Computers, just constant change or who and what, contracts are signed & expire, just like in the real world.

The curious thing, it's the money, who's getting it, how it appears to follow... people, organizations, associations.   If I didn't know better, it's like everyone gets a "bite at the pie", munches at the trough for a little while, before moving on.

Just more evidence we've allowed our govt to grow far to large.

We're nearing the time when, it is too be abolished.

This stuff is so compartmentalized, segmented, branched out all over the place - literally NOBODY really has a grasp on what is actually there, outside their circles of knowledge.  Who the hell knows, there might not be anything inhabitable at all, including the stuff built during the 1950-60s nuclear arms race.

Look at White Sulfur Springs (Greenbrier resort), WV.

I'd have mixed feelings about hanging around that location, it's so well known.

The bigger question, "What's the chances of you NOT being where you hoped you'd be - in the emergency event?"  My bug-home-bag is what it might take to get BACK to where I want to be, from work... If I can.  Reminds me... need to restock Payday candy bars.

I would like to at least feel better that these are military tunnels....  but then I hear so much about those "other" tunnels that swallow up children and I begin to wonder.  I think they all give me the creeps.

Florida sink holes ... has anyone ever escaped one of those things?

I was thinking more of those types of "tunnels" that are rumored to meander beneath the nation's capital.  I guess "swallows up children" came off a bit too literally.

I think that video, was from Arkansas.  If it were... "active"... it probably wouldn't be on the internet (my guess).

Ah....    some people were speculating that it was in Canada (which was surprising to me) but they were only guessing.  The video uploader said this was a big rig driving through the tunnel and that the footage was sped up.  (Then that place must really go on forever.....)

Well, now that's interesting....  YT removed the video.  Now why did they do that?  Hmmm?

I've never heard of this before!  And I work in the Optical Fiber industry, (supporting the optical carrier gear that hangs of the ends of fiber, aerial and bored through the ground.  A 40' diameter tunnel, melted through rock...?  That's a heck of a lot of rock to melt and push aside to get through - meh... I don't think so.   Having seen hundreds of miles of borings for Interduct (2" 4" mainly), the boring machines go FAST through ground, and painfully slow through rock - it's drilled!  the thing is, even with that 1/2" and 3/4" thick sidewalls, the dirt & rock eventually collapses the duct work, so fishing or pulling even a 3/4" armored fiber optical cable through it becomes impossible after a dozen years.

But... a 40 foot diameter tunnel, melted into stone with a nuclear furnace...?  Wow, that would really be a feat... at a potential 7 miles a day?

Elon Musk - if it could be done, his guys would be doing it under LA, right now.

I heard a lot of talk immediately following 9/11 about military bunkers (which I guess are all burrowed into mountains) like the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, but I'm told that I'd be shocked at how many there actually are, right here in America.  Project "Camelot".  Now that's an interesting thing to call it.

First I heard of it too.  Not much into the conspiracy stuff, I keep my distance from it, and lean hard towards being active politically, instead of "hunkering down, waiting for the radioactive fallout" - lol - already been there, buried and lost stuff in the back-40..

Cheyenne Mountain Complex - (almost took a transfer there... probably should have), I *hear* has had some big name data center stuff moved into there, some inside, and some outside.  Would I be considered "backward thinking" to be more concerned about Google, Microsoft, Disney, Youtube, Twitter - than the government who appears to be "helping them"..?  Well, I am.  They don't live under the same constraints WE DO.  In the business world, we have ZERO constitutional rights - none - HR rules the roost, carry a gun to work, get fired.  Speak PC incorrectly in an email, get fired.  Government is using businesses to *change* us, and minimize our rights as US citizens.

One of our projects/dreams is a well made root cellar, like our ancestors had, loaded with potatoes, squash, carrots, right out of the garden.  If there was some kind of disaster, I envision the hassle of "getting HOME, safely" from work, having to walk 50miles, with my "bug home" 1st aid bag.

Several of my kids did FEMA work in SC & NC after a big hurricane hit a few years back - it that was *any* indication of how well our government is prepared ... we're "on our own folks!"
