a.  probably not kegs of Corona - as one commenter put it.
b.  orphans and widows, nah - another

QuoteMexico has a habit of losing radiological waste. It's not a stretch that the men in question, perhaps with the help of Mexican drug cartels, might try to purchase some as well. If that were added to a conventional bomb and set off in a large city, the panic, potential radiation poisoning/loss of life and cost of clean up would be horrific.

Yeah, WHAT is in those cylinders?  Some component to a biological or nuclear weapon?  We probably never hear anymore about it, unless something terrible & dramatic happens.

Well, this is the second time in a year where Judicial Watch tried breaking a hard-news story concerning izlums with Mexico, near our border.  The first story was something about an armed military-camp.

The site is reaching-for relevancy rather than being relevant, here

That said, there's a high probability that it's true.  You can draw a reasonably straight-line north to the Denver-mint, for prime targets.

I have great admiration for the work of Judicial Watch.  They have successfully exposed many things we would have otherwise not known.  They have also successfully sued for and won documents under the Freedom of Information Act.  Many of these things have reveal critical information that Congress has not had the time or desire to pursue.

They do the work that our journalistic community has abdicated.

Can you say "Special Agent"?

"Only three of the men's names were entered in the Border Patrol's E3 reporting system, which is used by the agency to track apprehensions, detention hearings and removals of illegal immigrants. E3 also collects and transmits biographic and biometric data including fingerprints for identification and verification of individuals encountered at the border. The other two men were listed as "unknown subjects," which is unheard of, according to a JW federal law enforcement source. "In all my years I've never seen that before," a veteran federal law enforcement agent told JW."

The whole "unknown subject" thing sounds like a red herring meant to juice up the story to me.  I find it hard to believe all illegals crossing the border volunteer their identification so it's always in there, I bet it's regularly missing and would love to hear from a named source.

I wish there was some more info on these cylinders.  As worded, it could be anything from a steel pipe to a thermos to a big propane tank.  Another theory, they could be drugs meant to finance something.

True, and I agree...  but I used the term 'hard news'.  Which is 'featured journalism' or 'front-page' boots on the ground investigating, like how most local news is gathered.

Judicial Watch, judging by their earlier story which never amounted-to anything substantial, now has a bit of a track-record in breaking unreliable 'hard news'.  Don't get me wrong.  I love 'em.  I go there a lot.  But they generally break news via phonecalls and courtroom interactions.

The reference to 'steel cylinders' is the bunny.  Think about it.  What's that doing in the headline?
