Produced in 2015, this 1980s rehash offers up "The Hoff," in a video I'm pretty sure the gun folks here might appreciate. (Police, be aware of those killer skateboards!)

Sorry. Wasn't aware the link was bad since it did show up for me at YouTube itself.

Perhaps the CPF tech-types can get this corrected, soonest. And fix that damned "s" issue in "https". (Grrrrrrr....)

quiller

TEST-A-MUNDO.....

Well, kids, I copied the entire URL into a browser addy and without removing the "s" in "https" did manage to see the entire video. Sailed right through for me with Mozilla. Didn't work here at CPF after I removed the "s" in "https". Argh.

So....  Pasting that same addy here, and then posting it and THEN trying to click on it to see if it still works with the Mozilla browser I have....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTidn2dBYbY

SUCCESS!!!!  The "https" part no longer needs correction...at least it went that way for me. Howzabout you?

It actually worked for me, but as you know, I can't waste bandwidth on videos.
Here's the link I assume you posted?

Well, all I see in YOUR post was words and no link leading to anywhere.

The words were correct. The link? Not so much.

It was the caption under the video that you posted. In other words, it worked just fine, I stopped it from playing, but it definitely worked and was starting to load.

If you see this video in your YouTube app's video feeds, your device is affected. (Note: If the video appears unexpectedly in a web browser, it means that website is using an outdated method to access YouTube videos.)

As we upgrade the YouTube Data API to bring more features, we'll begin shutting down the old version on April 20, 2015. This will result in the current YouTube app not working on certain device models from 2012 and older.

We will continue to focus our efforts on improving our official YouTube app for TV which is available on most 2013 and newer Smart TVs and Blu-ray players, game consoles, streaming devices, and set-top boxes (e.g. Virgin Media, BSkyB Now TV Box, TiVo). You can find a list of our device partners here.

OK....
And how does that apply here? It still loaded for me.
I think what the article is referencing, is smartphones, not the PC, since smartphone technology is constantly changing, while Microsoft continues with compatibility, smartphones do not.

You have to click on a net address line if you wish to see it.  As before it would show up on CPF, taking the S out is not working now.  But on other board you can remove the S and the youtub will show up.

Ah, I see, it just didn't link properly. I thought Quill was saying it didn't load at all.

Personally, I think they're lying. For whatever reason, I have no idea, but this is a simple fix they're avoiding.

Some one is always wanting you to load something new for something to work.  I have run into this 4 times this year.
