As an over the road (OTR) truck driver I had the honor of actually stopping and visiting the Crow Agency where the Battle of the Little Big Horn took place serval times....although 99% of what happen that day came from our Native American citizens at Little Big Horn, they did explained the whole situation the same way this "Native American History" group portrayed the battle and what lead up to these events.... well done Native American History group, well done...........

Billy's bayonet

Im a Big Custer Fan and have had the privilege of metal detecting for relics in some of his Civil War Camps near Winchester and Gainesville Va. I also am a great admirer of Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull and Chief Gall the two later seem to have been leaders of the counter attack that defeated Custer. I have never seen the Battlefield of little bighorn but it is a goal of mine.

Excellent video by the way.  Had Custers soldiers been armed with the same weapons his troops used during the civil war, the 5 shot spencer repeater, instead of the single shot "trap door" carbine or had Custer taken the gatling guns which he held in contempt coz it slowed him down, who knows what would have resulted.

If you ever get the chance to visit Little Big Horn and it's in the summer months make sure you wear high boots....the trail leading up the where the battle took place is infested with rattle snakes. Bring a walking stick just in case. Trust me when I say this...the place is crawling with rattle snakes.

Also, all the headstones of where the soldiers of the 7th Calvary died are white and General Custer's headstone is white and black. If you look off into the distance you will see one headstone of a 7th Calvary Soldier that actually got away, he had a very fast horse according to the Native American Indians telling the story, for some strange reason he stopped and shot himself in the head. I believe, if I remember correctly his name is Corporal John Foley. Each headstone of the 7th Calvary Soldier is the actual place where they were killed in action.
