The Lie that America was "Stolen from the Indians"

A lie is that "America was stolen from the Indians." Take a look at the below map of America's acquisitions, there are no acquisitions taken from the Indians. People say that people must get off the "stolen" land. Hey, wait a second, doesn't America belong to everyone? As in the pro-communist Woodie Guthrie song "This land is you land, this land is my land."

The truth is Indians are American citizens and America still belongs to them. They vote and even get free medical care. Because of American know-how Indians now have computers, airplanes, A/C, TV, cars, etc. Not a bad deal. Many Indians are quite patriotic, see the 4th of July picture below.

There are school books where one part of the book says the Southwest was stolen from Mexico, then another part says the SW was stolen from the Indians. Which was it?

Billy's bayonet

Once again, Native American tribes fought each other over territory, stole from each other, killed and butchered innocents from opposing tribes, held slaves and did a lot of dispicable things that humans do just as everybody else did.

I see you don't know much about America Indians.  You need to look for some 80 year old school history books.  Also take the time and read all of the U. S. and Indian treaties.  You also need to know how all the other country's got the land to sale to the U. S.    This should take you about 6 years for the facts and truth.

Britain, Spain, Holland, and France are not the United States, the issue is what the USA did or did not do, not what the Spanish Empire did. The people are saying the USA took the land from the Indians which is a lie. Mexico was even an independent country when the US bought the Gadsden purchase and was happy to sell it because they needed money to put down a few rebellions.

The real scandal was many Indians learned French, became Catholics, and were loyal to the French Empire, then France sold them out with the Louisiana purchase.

ZUCKERBERG

I am quite prepared to give the entire west coast to Mexico.  I lived in Oklahoma for 21 years and my ex was 50% Indian.  Andrew Jackson who saved America at the Battle of New Orleans in 1812, was not the nicest person when it came to Indians - In 1838 and 1839, as part of Andrew Jackson's Indian removal policy, the Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and to migrate to an area in present-day Oklahoma. The Cherokee people called this journey the "Trail of Tears," because of its devastating effects.  Many Indians, just like many Blacks cling to a destructive culture that does not serve them well.  I witnessed the Chickasaw Nation prosper from Casinos.  Other tribes that opened casinos also prospered.

The Cherokees owned slaves and supported the South in the Civil War. Below are some Confederate Cherokee Civil War veterans with the Stars and Bars. They had no obligation to go to Oklahoma, many went to North Carolina and were even free to go to New York. They went to Oklahoma because they got free land and could keep tribal affiliation. They also brought their slaves with them. A few years ago they even kicked out the blacks from their reservation, with the help of the Supreme Court.

By the way, in your thinking shouldn't California be given to the Indians instead of Mexico? Northern California was taken from the Russian, not Mexico.

The native Americans WERE slaughtering each other for millennia, .. over land disputes, and the truth is, .. native Americans, so called, were NOT even ''native'' to North America, and for over twenty years there is evidence that the Solutreans  (ancient ice age hunters from Europe)... may have even preceded the first Americans into North America!  <> That of course is a TABOO topic, but, it must be studied!

I do not see how slavery, or which side they supported in the Civil War is at all pertinent to their forcible removal from their land.  This may shock you but not everything is tied to slavery.  Why you even brought that up is beyond me.  I am also sorry you can't know satire when you see it as when I want to give the west coast to Mexico. to get it off our hands.

  Two very different civilizations wanted the same land. That has happened through out history. That does not justify it, it just is. Happened through out Europe, Africa, etc. Same might happen to us one day.

If we are going to give California away, can we give it to someone who lives a little further away than mexio? California will fit on the antarctic, won't it?
