I found this article very interesting.  Can something as simple as a wardrobe change make a difference in how we act and feel.  I remember years ago being told to "Dress for the job you want."

Maybe as a woman we (I) would love a simpler life. Toy

I was in a slump. Every day, it was the same routine. Wake up, put on my usual t-shirt and black leggings, feed the kids, clean the house, do the laundry, shower, bed, repeat.
Transforming into a '50s housewife overnight seemed like a daunting and overwhelming task. I needed to break my transformation down into steps. "What's just one thing I can do, starting tomorrow, to begin this transformation?" I asked myself. That's when I decided on the dress, the hallmark of the '50s housewife. I would wear one every single day and see if anything changed. It'd be my own private experiment. I honestly didn't think much would come of it, but boy, was I wrong.

To make a long story short, yes, here a month later, it has lasted. Wearing a dress every day has brought out my husband's masculinity in all the best ways. For an entire month now, I've been a well-tended woman, physically and emotionally.
This is how the dress changed me from the inside out. By its constant, physical reminder of the mother I desired to be. It has been a source of extreme conviction in my life, but not guilt. It has been an encouraging inspiration for all the good I am capable of bringing to the lives of my children and husband through my many acts of service as mother and wife.

This will also play a huge part for children when they come of age.

This is so true and it serves one well in today's business world.

When Began my career in 1965 we were required to wear a suit and tie, not a sport coat. I mad it a point to wear a tie even as dress codes became more relaxed. I was in sales management and in competition for business and I saw I was the only person still wearing business attire. I believe it sent a message to the folks I was calling that I was there for business.

There is a message from "The Peter Principle" that said, "An ounce of image is worth a pound of performance" and it is so true.
"If you can't run with the big dawgs, stay on the porch!"

You raise an excellent point about our history and culture.
For example, construction workers had their own attire, businessmen had suits, military buzz cuts, secretaries wore professional dress and the list goes on and on.
Which brings us to the present. The media portrayed IBM employees as stuffed shirts, IBM was the last to change their dress code.

But most importantly, and possibly the bell weather in all of this, was tattoos. Young men coming of age would get a tattoo representing their time in service, like all things, the left destroyed our culture. Now everyone gets a tattoo, and boy are they going to regret it.
I've no doubt this was all planned, right down to men wearing dresses. Can't shame them, that isn't PC. :sneaky:

Yep. I do our grocery shopping and I use self check. I do not want to look at a young person with a ring in their nose checking me out.

I believe our culture will come slamming back. People are sick of the shit the left pulled and a cultural revolt is just around the corner.

With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Love this topic.

Wearing a dress every day has brought out my husband's masculinity in all the best ways.

I keep saying this over and over whenever I got a chance, that masculinity and femininity depend on each other. But mostly to a deaf ear. I receive replies from modern day narcissists that a man should go to a gym regularly and eat healthy food and have a positive attitude, and it is enough for his masculinity to thrive. And I receive responses from women who say they don't want a man who needs a woman in order to be more masculine. Generations lost in space and time. They have abandoned all positive values except for few narcissistic ones, and now they are empty and meaningless and got no motivation for life. They have turned from humans into pigs.

This is so true. There was a sentence in the 1960's book "The Peter Principle". It said, "an ounce of image is worth a pound of performance". I took that to heart and it served me well in my career.

Until my full retirement in 2013 I always wore a starched shirt and tie. I saw my competitors were evolving into more casual dress as they called on clients. I truly believe my business attire set a different atmosphere as I called on clients

I miss those days when people looked like people and not like circus. Someone told them they should be what they really are and not what others told them to be, and now they look like pigs, they found their true selves. It is awful seeing women dressed in ripped jeans and t-shirt or sweatshirt and sneakers, and with tons of makeup and manicure and nail polish, it really makes them look like pigs with makeup. Sweet warm gentle little woman who will make your heart melt is nowhere to find.

I've got my own personal dress code, which typically consists of black leather shoes or boots, black pants, and a buttoned shirt. I was wearing a suit and a tie only at some places where I worked as a security guard, and it fitted me so well that I looked like a director, but it is unlikely that I would wear it in every day life unfortunately, maybe if I worked in an office that was my dream but it never happened, I worked at such jobs as shop assistant in a market, as security guard, and in printing house, so no real place for a suit and a tie. But I always dress good no matter where I'm going, being it a shop or a theater or a church. Sometimes I meet a friend when going to a market who looks like shit, and he asks me why did I dress so well just to go to a market, and I reply that I always dress well.

Be grateful for folks who prefer to look sloppy. It reduces your competition.
