Solar knows I hate to have any of our trees taken down.  But for safety of our home and for our forest's health he does take them down.  Gives me my firewood for winter.

God's Country after the Rain

Walking through the forest after the rain
  these are the things I see...

Sunlight shooting through the treetops
the rain sparkling like diamonds on the
  leaves and pine needles...
The glow is puddling on the ground
  leaving golden spots all throughout the darkness.
I feel the mud under my feet and spot a spider web
    on the bank glistening with raindrops.
The air is crisp and full of moisture and the smell of pine
  fills my senses and lightens my spirit.
On the tree I see the moss and feel its softness
  as it reaches out for the life-giving wetness.
In the distance I hear the chattering of squirrels and
   the chirping of the birds.

All is well in my world today.

That's what my friends said when I bailed on the city. Haven't seen or missed them since.
