I see holes to your logic here so it raises questions.  You gave an example of a man with both Tourettes and OCD who was able to obtain and keep a job, obtain a license and drive a car and was independent.

1.   Is he the exception or is he the norm?    What are our trends for those with both Tourettes and OCD?  Is it the norm for them to keep a job, obtain a license, drive a car and become independent or is the man you know an exception?

2.   You're using a small sample space to represent the whole and an extremely small one at that namely one person without looking at the data for those with both Tourtettes and OCD and their employment rates.  This is called the composition fallacy.

3.   Based upon what you say, we derive that what you're really saying is "No true disabled person is not unable to keep employment."   This is based upon the True Scottsman fallacy.

4.   The operative word is "keep."  A person may be able to keep a job but may or may not be able to go through the normal process of obtaining employment without major assistance to do so.   Did this man pass the interviews on his own.   Did he have guidance?   Did he go to Voc Rehab or any place like that?   Was he able to figure out how to do a "proper"  job search on his own or did he have assistance?   Does he receive assistance to this day in any form?   If he does then he is not independent.

5.   Is the man still working today?   What is the recidivism rate for those with Tourettes and OCD?

6.   You're generalizing characteristics from one group to another.   I have Aspergers, he has tourettes.  Big Difference.   It's like saying that candy corn's sweet taste can be applied to regular corn.
Or he could have simply followed your formula of asking endless and exhaustive questions all the while avoiding the actual task of seeking employment and justifying to people he never met to quell some inner personal guilt.

I'll say it again, gt off your ass and get a damn job, any job!!!
Is it above you to ask a store owner if they need someone to clean windows, sweep the parking lot, detail their car?

In this day and age the exception gets off there ass and finds a job.

The norm now live off the government. (Taxpayers)  They say no one will give me a job I think I should have.

Inner personal guilt?   I have no idea what you're talking about.  This is totally from left field.  It is personal responsibility advocates such as yourself who state the real world is x, y and z.   You, as in personal responsibility advocates, state that the millennials and other younger folks are horrible people with narcissism and a sense of entitlement.

Specifically and Concretely, What IS correct exactly?   Specifically and Concretely, What is the correct behavior that is to be displayed?  Specifically and Concretely, What are the correct emotions that is to be felt?   Specifically and Concretely,What is the correct and legitimate way to seek and obtain a job?   Specifically and Concretely, can you define the bottom and define how one moves vertically and horizontally?

Am I even allowed to do this?   Is this legal to do?  Would it be considered soliciting?   Is it socially appropriate to do?      I can do this at any CVS, Kroger, etc.   I didn't know people just went up to managers of places like Kroger, CVS, Golden Corale, etc, etc and did stuff like this.   Let's say I do, do this.

I go to the store.
I ask for the manager.

Once the manager comes, now what?   What do I say to the manager?   How much am I supposed to and allowed to  charge?   Or, does the manager define how much he or she will pay?   Let's say I go there.   How do I present myself?   Am I allowed to wear raggedy clothes or am I supposed to be more formal just to wash a car?

Because of my ASD which entails mindblindedness and a diminished theory of mind which means I have a disability in "attributing mental states — beliefs, intents, desires, pretending, knowledge, etc. — to oneself and others and to understand that others have beliefs, desires, intentions, and perspectives that are different from one's own."

It's why I ask all of these questions.  For you and other neurotypicals on here, certain things are natural to you.  They're not so for me.  So, I'm missing details, context and subtext.

I had decided several days ago I was just going to ignore his posts as we were not doing anything but going around in circles.

Change of heart?

I suspected what this clown was all about on his 1st post.

By his 4th post I had no doubts about my first impression.

The only thing this guy is good for is excuses and wasted bandwidth. Which by the way your paying for.

No, not a change of heart in the least.
I know these people and what they deal with, from mild to extreme, and Cube is mild to moderate and in no way debilitated, though he is trapped in a self imposed prison, which is why I cutoff his outlet, an outlet he used to enable his delay in escaping his self imposed prison.

Cube is his own biggest obstacle, he looks for excuses to avoid dealing with the tough issue of living independently.
He's read and listened to psychologists tell him just how hard it is for people like himself to break through and succeed, so he seeks information enabling his cause not to seek independence.

Like I said, I read his blog before he ever joined, so I had a different take on the guy, and how he's been raised to see his autism as a hindrance to a successful life, a barrier rather than seeing the positive sides and putting them to use.
No, he's not a troll, nor is he banned, just on a timeout, one designed for introspection and hopefully a constructive kick in the ass.

Ouch!    (I'm sure he'd take donations, though: capitalism works....)

As this forum's earliest critic of this basement-dwelling excuse-artist, I look forward to the Open Season on him, once he returns to snivel about what he's too useless to achieve.

Hopefully he won't derail more threads with his screeds about his helplessness.

I have this line floating through my head from the Broadway musical West Side Story, in "Officer Krupke"....

"Krupke, we got troubles of our own!"

Absolutely LOVE IT!!!
Sorry, if Quiller is offensive - but, this is what real Americans are made of.  If more boys grew up to become MEN - we wouldn't have all this crap going on in public, in the media or academia.
