Eighty Years ago every Public High School provided a better education than Liberal Arts Colleges do today.

DISIPLINE AND STANDARDS MUST BE RE-INTRODUCED.

Get the Communists out and stop government subsidizing student loans.

I paid for my college with a part-time job, dammit!

I made good grades and had a Pell grant, but it was still affordable.

They had just started lowering admission standards and subsidizing student loans as I was leaving..

Sick Of Silence

I wonder what is on the financial records of colleges. Meaning, do they need to be audited for waste, fraud, and abuse?
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

How about we force Govt to quit stealing tax payer dollars to subsidize colleges and let them compete on merit?
As to books? So called Professors write their own books then force their students to buy them to attend class.

There was a time when all students learned the truth, now they're just indoctrinated. But not to worry, without tax dollars, many of these schools will be forced to actually teach, especially when one considers the costs compared to trade schools.

Now you're talking!

As I was on the outro..they started admitting non-college material students once Uncle Sugar started backing up student loans. That was in my last year.

We're having this debate at work today...

College isn't that darn expensive. You're telling me that you can't get a PT job and make the $700 a month it takes to cover tuition and books?

We've already got Pell Grants and stuff. What else do we need?

I would rather we sooner guarantee students a campus job paying $500 than making college free all together.

Or maybe cap the cost of books, those are expensive for no reason...

No.... and eliminate the Department of Education.

I do remember back in my younger days someone getting a D - - for a grade.  But then he was in the 5th grade for 3 years.
