Maybe an end to Federal Taxes on Social Security

South Carolina congressman Ralph Norman is co-sponsoring legislation to end the Federal Income Tax on Social Security payments. I am all in for this!

Good idea. However, must have majority in house and senate for any chance. It would be fun to watch democrats vote against this. This tax really irritates me as it is double taxation. We paid income taxes on these funds when they were taxed when we were working.

It's really a triple tax. The gross earnings were taxed as income to start with. The payroll tax was then deducted for tax #2. Then the gubmint comes along when you're old and gray and taxes the tax money you already paid taxes on.
