Financial Call goes silent, Oppsie - cut that guy off

While listening to a Q4 earnings call, maybe it was my link (still showed up), or maybe someone asked a HOT question, can't quote it precisely, but here's the gist of it.

During the Q/A, you got the usual questions, blah, blah if blah, we expect blah... On comes a guy who just didn't have that 'financial analyst tone'.... "Has your company made any provisions for the possibility of a financial down turn, many are predicting in the near future?"

DEAD SILENCE - link was up, no static, absolutely nothing, ZIP, nada - almost like... someone hit the MUTE while the dude was quickly apprehended and dragged out the door.

EBIDA is in the neighborhood of $1.0 ~ 1.1B free cash flow...   I was in split screen, just a pure coincidence, the stock price on one screen the call on the other - stock bounced UP almost 10% during the call...  and settled down a couple of bucks, after the call.

Oh, yeah, the company HAS MONEY, but no hints how they're gonna use it.  I left the call up for another 15-20 minutes, silence the entire time.  This was the kinda stuff you'd expect to Alex Jones or Glen Beck to pick up (and milk like a Holstein)

Did other participants experience the same thing?

Don't know yet, I've been to busy to dial up the recorded call, I was on it live.  (still want to hear that answer, LOL, all the guys I expected to be listening - weren't)  Basically closed -back- to where it was, just a slight gain from yesterday morning.

One of the financial institutions asked if a buy-back was on the table, that got a sort of "no" non-answer.
The question was right out of left-field.

I listened to the recording, not a pop, hickup - it all appears to be there.
