Title: A forgotten lost skill?
Post by: Sick Of Silence on April 09, 2024, 02:39:16 PM
I ate at a diner today. A true local independent diner. I only had a burger, but still. Something dawned on me. The waitress scribbled the chicken scratch on the old school note pad. You know, old school hash house style.

Is this a lost art? I believe it is. People have computers, and still screw up you order.

Of course, but these young whipper-snappers couldn't do what the 300 pound waitressaurus can do.

Reminds me to the old joke:

What has 8 breasts and 4 teeth?

Answer: Night shift at Waffle House.

Growing up, the waitressaurus had manners, called everybody "sweetie".
