Four minutes into a video that was posted on Instagram last month, Justin Bieber leaned in to the camera and adjusted the front of his black knit beanie. For some of his 130 million followers, it was a signal.

In the video, someone had posted a comment asking Bieber to touch his hat if he had been a victim of a child-trafficking ring known as PizzaGate. Thousands of comments were flooding in, and there was no evidence that Bieber had seen that message. But the pop star's innocuous gesture set off a flurry of online activity, which highlighted the resurgence of one of social media's early conspiracy theories.

Viewers quickly uploaded hundreds of videos online analyzing Bieber's action. The videos were translated into Spanish, Portuguese and other languages, amassing millions of views. Fans then left thousands of comments on Bieber's social media posts asking him if he was safe. Within days, searches for "Justin and PizzaGate" soared on Google, and the hashtag #savebieber started trending.

Four years ago, before the 2016 presidential election, the baseless notion that Hillary Clinton and Democratic elites were running a child sex-trafficking ring out of a Washington pizzeria spread across the internet, illustrating how a crackpot idea with no truth to it could blossom on social media — and how dangerous it could be. In December 2016, a vigilante gunman showed up at the restaurant with an assault rifle and opened fire into a closet.

In the years afterward, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube managed to largely suppress PizzaGate. But now, just months before the next presidential election, the conspiracy theory is making a comeback on these platforms — and on new ones such as TikTok — underlining the limits of their efforts to stamp out dangerous speech online and how little has changed despite rising public frustration.

Key Mueller witness gets 10 years in prison on child sex trafficking charges

Akey witness in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia-Trump campaign collusion probe, on Friday received a 10-year prison sentence on child sex charges.

The witness, George Nader, who also acted as an adviser for President Trump's White House transition team following the 2016 election, was handed the sentence by Judge Leonie Brinkema at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Nader, who has already served a year in prison, admitted to bringing a 14-year-old boy from the Czech Republic to the United States in 2000 for sex trafficking. As part of the sentence, he is also ordered to pay that victim $150,000.

His lawyers, who lobbied for the 10-year term rather than a longer stay in prison, expressed "a real fear that [Nader] will not outlive the sentence" due to health problems as well as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Nader in court said he was "dearly, deeply sorry" for the crimes.

Lunatic conspiracy theory? I think not for the following reasons.
Thousands of emails were found on Anthony Weiner's laptop from Hillary Clinton. As far as I know the content of those emails has not been released. What has been released are emails that Wikileaks obtained. You can search the emails of John podesta and Hillary Clinton and her Aid Huma Abedin. If you go to WikiLeaks and search those emails using just the word Pizza you will find some interesting conversations that make no sense unless you connect them to the words and phrases that the FBI has determined are code words for pedophiles:

pizza =  child
cheese = girl
pasta = boy
Hot dog = boy
ice cream = male  prostitute
walnut = of dark skin color
sauce  = orgy
map = semen
To name a few.

If you haven't noticed, there has been a spike in the arrest of pedophiles and child trafficking rings and pedophiles. Those arrests may or may not have contributed to the spike of related conversations on Tik Tok but I'd be willing to bet the coverage by Q anons and President Trump probably have. Since you say it's a lunatic conspiracy I would like to counter that argument with this video that contains much more information then I could provide in this post.

oh thank you for your opinion in light of what is happening.  YOu know....the bible says...and i'm sure you have no respect for God's word, says that be discerning about your friends for one......that a man is known by the company he keeps?    Do you see who our 'political elites' pal around with?   Don't you think that might be a bit of a problem?
