No shot, no proof, no service: NYC businesses begin checks

NEW YORK (AP) — People dining indoors at New York City's restaurants, browsing its museums or sweating in its gyms had to show proof Tuesday that they were at least partially inoculated against COVID-19 as the city began the nation's largest effort yet to exclude the unvaccinated from public places.

Signs on the front door and windows of The Stop Inn, a Queens diner, warned patrons arriving for breakfast that they had to show proof of at least one vaccine shot to be allowed to dine inside.

Still, Norbu Lama, 17, said he was surprised when a server politely asked for his vaccination card soon after he slid into a booth with his parents and sister.

"We didn't know we had to bring it," he said. The server appeared relieved when Lama and his family presented copies of their vaccination cards on their phone, Lama said.

New York City is just another place that has become Nazi Germany.
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

They are doing what they believe is best for them. When you live in a city where people are packed in like fucking sardines, a virus can spread like wildfire. This is an example of why states rights are so important. I don't believe South Dakota ever implemented any kind of mandates or lockdowns during the entirety of covid. So, if you don't like how New York runs things, you can move to South Dakota where they do things differently.

The bigger point, as I have been saying, is that businesses can require proof of vaccination or a recent negative test.

The thread has to do with can a business owner decide on his own, not if a business owner is dictated to by a corrupt liberal government. By the way, you did not answer my question, are you now in favor of racial discrimination? Sure sounds like it.

You've been saying is not the same as proving. All your post proves is liberal government does not give a damn if they are the ones discriminating.

IMO, we should all support the right of businesses to decide who their customers are. We don't want government, in 99% of situations, to say "You have have to serve this person".  If I want to hang a sign on the front of my restaurant that says "No Blacks, no Hispanics, No Women, No cripples and No Lesbos", that should be my right, just as it would be with my home.

But you get that all those people CHOSE to obey, they didnt have too since the police could not legally arrest them for not. They could have forced their way in and did a sit in and there would be nothing the police could do since you can demand ppl show proof of being vaxed. You just proved that again, NYC doesnt follow the law.

You support everyone's "right" to discriminate? If the citizens vote for it, then we can have racial discrimination? That is their right? Are you sure about what you are saying is a right here?

What I am saying, putting the lies and hyperbole of others aside, is that a business owner, just like a homeowner, should be able to decide who they allow into their home or business.  As a business owner or homeowner, I should be the one who decides enters my property, not the government.

Maybe you should read the law. Better yet, try it yourself.
