Title: Communism
Post by: Skull on February 10, 2021, 02:13:51 PM
Many excellent books and writings about the evils of communism.  Here are a few titles to start the suggested reading list:

Politically Incorrect Guide to Communism by Paul Kengor
Devil and Karl Marx by Paul Kengor
Dupes by Paul Kengor
Witness by Whittaker Chambers
The Naked Communist by Cleon Skousen
Secret World of American Communism by Klehr, Haynes et al

This recent one is also very good.  It can be read online or in book form, videos & audio too:

Read this a while ago and just saw this thread. 'The Rise and Fall of *Communism' by Archie Brown, a very detailed account that is worth your time if you are a history buff or have an interest in Communism. Brown's book covered the historical underpinnings of communist thought and its concept of social revolution. Today many still believe that drastic social change is inevitable should we do such and such. Introduce one policy and the entire system collapses and we all live happily or not so happily onward. Our founders got one thing right, they recognized that government and its people required checks and balance.

What do you mean "fall of communism"?

It is still around, and trying to make a comeback.

By 'fall' is meant the failure of this Utopian concept to work the magic most Utopian ideas and societies promise. The threats today are authoritarianism and autocracy. Russian is authoritarian today, autocracy is a threat to America. You see that with Trump, DeSantis, Abbott et al.

And just what checks or balances did the founders put onto We The People?
