FBI launches criminal investigations of John Brennan, James Comey over Trump-Russia probe: DOJ sources

Former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey are under criminal investigation for potential wrongdoing related to the Trump–Russia probe, including allegedly making false statements to Congress, Justice Department sources told Fox News Digital.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred evidence of wrongdoing by Brennan to FBI Director Kash Patel for potential prosecution, DOJ sources told Fox News Digital.

The sources said that the referral was received and told Fox News Digital that a criminal investigation into Brennan was opened and is underway. DOJ sources declined to provide further details. It is unclear, at this point, if the investigation spans beyond his alleged false statements to Congress.

Going to be interesting to see if the democrats run or circle the wagons. I think they will distance themselves, these two has beens can do nothing for this new group.

Good question. I have no doubt their loyalties, or lack there of, would allow them to sing like a canary. But they are the top dog. Who could they name that's above them except Hillary and Obama???????? 

I just hope the announcement of this investigation isn't to cover up the Epstein no investigation.

Interesting take from Judge Joe Brown.

Judge Joe believes it is connected to the 2022 FBI raid of Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Florida and the subsequent criminal charge against him related to retaining classified documents.

"My sneaking suspicion is that a lot of what he refused to turn over to the archivist...is that there was wrongdoing; that if he turned it over to the archivist, it was going to be turned over to the people who were recorded doing wrong," said Brown, who defended Trump's retaining of classified documents post-presidency as his constitutional authority.

Brown said that if it got into the wrong hands, the alleged federal workers would destroy it.

"So we had an obligation to the people to maintain control of that, which he did," the judge said of Trump. "I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. It has been dropped. It's dead. It's not there. But he knows that, and I have a sneaking suspicion that when the investigations are completed and they're solid, we're going to start seeing something come out of it."
