Keep checking back, this fire is taking off fast! Right now it's in the foothills, just above the valley, burning a lot of brush.
I'm about 45 miles to the N/E, hoping the smokes heads South so La suffers and not those of us in the north.
Lot's of homes are in its path.
But this is a part of living in Ca, a desert state.

This is the site I use to keep an eye on fires. It uses satellite to see hot spots.
I saw this one yesterday pop out of nowhere while checking out the fire near Yosemite, which is now nearly gone, at about 75% contained.
But this one is a beast and will probably triple in size today. You couldn't ask for worse conditions, dead brush, drought and horrible forest management, thanks to our commie gov.

But if it starts crowning, meaning running the tops of the conifer forest, all bets are off.

We have a huge portion of crazy people living out here.
It could have been something as innocuous as a lawnmower hitting a rock, but most people are careful by nature, which leads me to believe it was probably arson. BLM, ANTIFA?

That's another point, these seem to pop up when the enemy really needs a distraction.  I know it's dry and it does happen, but it's almost as if the environment is intentionally kept to these combustible conditions for when they need a diversion.
