Quote from: Solar on January 02, 2023, 05:11:43 PMJust wait, with the way the Dims are running this state, rolling blackouts will be a daily event this summer in the state. I don't care, let them suffer, I'm off grid.

They just brought in about 1000 of these lights about 20 miles below me down in the foothills, we literally lost our night sky. I can only see about a handful of stars, compared to when I moved here decades ago, when it was like being in the middle of the desert.
There is nothing good to be had from this shit!
When we look to the east at night, there are no stars from around 30* down. Night lights from Fort Hood and the city of Killeen block out all the lower stars. You can still see the milky way, but only right above you.  For most of those who live in a city like Austin, there are no stars. I guess we should take pictures while we can so we can show our grandchildren what stars were.

Exactly! If I look a bit N/E, I can see some stars, or as you said, straight up.
People used to come to my property in awe of the night sky, now it looks worse than the Sac valley did growing up.

God I hate liberals! :glare:
