The  interesting thing  is the republican lead  in polls was less  in 1994 and  2010. If its  10 points  now we  could  pick up seats in unexpected  places.

Personally, i think inflation is going to get better  next  year, but  i also think a recession is  getting  more  likely. One thing  i am certain of  is Biden will declare the  pandemic  over to try and get some  good  news  going.

The democrat party had been so taken over by the far left that they cannot recover. Being a moderate as a democrat is as bad as being a republican to many in the base now.

Truer words was never spoke.

But, completely contrary to a myth so often repeated in the "legacy media," the GOP has also gone left in a very big way. Within my lifetime, both parties have migrated so far to the left that JFK would today be described as an "arch-conservative." (Ever wonder why there don't seem to be any "arch-liberals?") Just sixty years ago, the man was touted as a "Massachusetts liberal."

The shift to the "liberal" side varies by party only in velocity. The leftward march has been much slower with the GOP, but the party hasn't taken a single step to the right since Goldwater was media-crushed in 1964. Even the "Reagan Revolution" was mostly smoke and mirrors, ending with an open southern border and the foisting upon the nation of President George H. W. Bush, the prototype for limp-dick losers like Dole, McCain, Romney, et.al. The national party's acquiescence to the "march of history" has given us common terms like "GOPe" and "RINO."

When you cut the balls off the elephant, they don't magically grow back.

What slowed the migration in the republican party was all the southern conservatives moving from the democrat party to the GOP beginning in the late 60's.

The legacy media commonly described the ascendancy of the GOP in the South exactly that way. It's often described as the result of "Nixon's southern strategy," a figment of progressive imaginations. It is, in fact, primarily the result of Lyndon Johnson's "appease the natives" strategy. (Of course, LBJ had a much more colorful term for southern blacks.) Within a year of the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, everybody with eyes could see that exactly what its critics predicted would happen was happening. By 1970, racial preferences were the law or the practice everywhere, and the degradation of the body politic was in full swing.

Southern Democrats didn't "switch parties." The Democrat Party switched constituents. Along with every KKK member who "switched," there were several hundred regular folks who couldn't figure out what the hell was going on with their government, and where the hell the Democrats were going with all this hippie stuff. Remember, for example, that the most egregious gun control legislation since Prohibition was passed in 1968 by a Democrat Congress and signed into law by a Democrat president.

If there was a mass "party switch" in the South back then, it wasn't because people were seeking a new party. It was because the party that had been their home for so long was running away from them, leaving them little choice.

The late former governor and senator from GA was the one who came up with a famous term about the GOP seizing control of the south. Zell Miller said, "I did not leave the democrat party, the party left me".

The dems just found a new way to make the blacks their unwitting slaves and were implementing it. They learned it from the communists.

Here's my question. How much are the dems willing to risk to cheat to overcome this huge lead now that they have already been caught doing it the last time around?

No doubt they pull out all the stops, be it blatant fraud or demanding control via a new "supposed" "CCP FLU" variant.
But it matters not, they're dead so they will do their best to destroy American Culture on the way out.

I believe the democrats will be so desperate they will get careless and do some very dumb things. Keep in mind many of their poll operatives are not professionals and not the brightest bulbs in the lamp. Hopefully some of the voting laws will help. Not to mention, the GOP not being so asleep at the wheel like they were in 2020.
