Well, as far as I can tell, the U.S. hasn't used for quite some time one of the greatest house/bunker clearing weapons ever...the flamethrower, so this naturally follows suit.

Socialist/Marxist Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy has pushed for a ban on the use of landmines:..."An obvious step is for the Pentagon to destroy its remaining stockpile of mines, which do not belong in the arsenal of civilized nations."

I have an idea. To make war even more "civilized" and palatable, we need to ban the use of 'bullets'. The outcome of any future conflict could be determined if all opposing forces, wearing the appropriate protective gear, were to use only paintball guns. That way, any deaths and injuries should be kept to a minimum. (Sarcasm)

Of course the Libtards ignore the fact that our land mines are smart, and we can cut them off when we leave. Of course since every ass hole and his brother simply strews them all over the landscape, we have to get rid of ours. Fuck protecting the troops and all that. Some ass wipe in Washington has decided we need to play "nice".

I guess we could go back to digging holes and hiding them with a thin-fabric, covered with sand or leaves, etc.   There's a chance that the New York Times editorial-staff  might be okay with it.

The NYT is against anything that might give American troops an advantage in battle. They work on the theory that if we make war "too easy" or less costly, than American will never go to war. Of course, they never consider what we will do when we run into and enemy that doesn't give a damn about casualties.
