IMHO, WW1 was a silly beef between antiquated European Familial Hierarchies, really meaningless.

For America to become involved was INSANE.

And it then lead, directly, to WWII. Horrible.

Ignoring the loss of Human Life, WWII led to the enormous destruction of World Heritage. Cities, Villages, Monasteries, Art, Monuments - GONE. Forever.

Naturally it was a Progressive, Woodrow Wilson, behind it all. Vastly underrated when it comes to Worst-President-Ever.

And, he promised, while campaigning, to keep America OUT OF WAR.
