Why is there a special day set aside for us?
Sure, it's always good to remember and reflect, but the way I see it, is it diminishes the real heroes in every war, those that went before, and those yet to fall.
Lets stick to a simple Veterans day.

The Viet-Nam Vets got a raw deal by many of their countrymen.  I think every chance they get to be recognized, remembered and thanked for their service is a good thing.    We have a lot of dates remembered during WWII, from Pearl Harbor, to D-Day to Hiroshima.  WWII lasted about five years, Viet Nam went on for 16.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

This is what happens when politicians run a war.  b o is just one more fine example of not knowing what the hell he is doing.   Then you have Hillary.

Over exposure can have a negative effect as well and people tire of the over exposure.
John Kerry was in Vietnam, ya know.

So was Jane Hanoi Fonda.

This Vietnam veteran (2 tours, U.S. Navy) says, yeah, now that ya mention it....

Why couldn't Manson's gang have done something USEFUL?

I remember her, Fondas speech, delivered in Hanoi. She spoke of the Cong as "Our Boys" and the Americans as "Them" and "The Enemy"
Filthy little tramp, she has never expressed shame for that.

It wasn't what Hanoi Jane said, it was what she did that should have gotten her arrested for treason. Like Outing the American POW who tried to slip her a note to give to her family, she turned it over to her VC guides. I'm sure the guy got the bamboo cane across the soles of his feet for that one.

I ferverntly wish we had drones back in the day and sent one right up her ass when she sat on that NVA anti aircraft gun

I disagree. Her value as a P.R. spokeswoman (and her already-well-proved affinity for enemies of America) would spare her for at least a few videos, a gang rape, and THEN beheading.
