'Silent' mode? Well, that sure worked out real well.

Also, from what I have been told, the U.S. Navy doesn't use the traditional paper navigation charts anymore. Navigation coordinates are all 'digitalized'.

I am sure someone has to know how to using the old system if the satellites go out.  My BIL was in charge of the rebuilding of the USS Enterprise bridge electronics before he retired out of the Navy, that was his last assignment.

Don't they know how to look up? I mean seriously, are the Stars, moon, Sun still up there?

Or don't they teach sailors how to navigate by using astronomical markers anymore?

That said, where's the "official" explanation from this White House for how not one, but two of our ships wind up where they were.

Captured by a little peon of a country like Iran.

I mean seriously Iran isn't exactly what you would call a world naval power here folks.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

General George Patton would have solved this situation PRONTO.

And it would not reoccur in his lifetime.

" Still being debriefed ", my ass...

What is the Navy these days?  A damned cult

Lemme see if I got it...  The Navy, who named a guided-missile Destroyer: the USS John S. McCain, is telling the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee; John S. McCain that he can't interview the 10 sailors who were captured-and-released over a month ago?!

This is all about Valerie Jarrett, John Kerry, Susan Rice, and Barry Soetoro ladies and gentleman.  Make no mistake about it.

Americans in-peril in Benghazi...  Stand Down.
US Marines giving-up their weapons to board a Yemeni airliner...  Stand Down.
US Air Force pilots over ISIS oil-refineries...  Stand Down.
US sailors abandoning their gun-positions... Stand Down.

I wish the Republican Presidential-candidates would start getting irate over all this amateuristic crap.  I mean stormswept irate.  Not the debate-byte 'irate' with a dumbass timeover-bell dinging in the background.
