Superb pilot, superb aircraft.
Oh yeah! Are the newest model supposed to be able to go supersonic, or will that only be when they get the bugs out of the F-35?

Meanwhile the Air Force wants to get rid of the A-10. I guess they just aren't "cool" enough for those Air Force pilots. I realize the Air Force has ALWAYS hated the ground support role, of course if they had the sense GOD gave a bag of rocks, they'd hold on to that mission for dear life. Ground support is the one mission that can't be done by UAV's; too close to the troops. Hmmm, maybe we don't even need an Air Force?

I started my Navy hitch in carrier-based aviation, where we did NOT rely on the Chair Force to overcome their squeamishness at killing enemies they could actually see, instead of just dropping bombs from high altitudes and flying home for supper.
