A woman identified by a scholar as the inspiration for Rosie the Riveter, the iconic female World War II factory worker, has died in Washington state.

The New York Times reports that Naomi Parker Fraley died Saturday in Longview. She was 96.

My Mom was a Rosie the Riveter.  She ran 3 brake presses that made parts for the navigational system in B52 bombers.  She was 5 feet tall and weighed 97 pounds.  She "retired" when she was 8-1/2 months pregnant.

RIP all you sweet Rosies.  We owe you a debt of gratitude. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
