I read this with MIXED feelings, *knowing* full well, China majors on propaganda portraying them as a 3rd world country with poor, ignorant, backward people.   (read Michael Pillsbury's book on China, "The Hundred-Year Marathon")  https://michaelpillsbury.net/  I have a healthy respect for his opinions, he helped shape President Trump's policy towards China (libs hated that).

Reading the Opslens.com article, I apply the same healthy skepticism to the author ... wondering if I'm reading another "O-poor little ole China" propaganda piece, or does the China military really have problems with their soldiers & sailors?

From the article:

Allow that to sink in...  Submarines carrying what kind of missiles...?  How many Pilipino fishing boats have mysteriously SUNK...?  OK, so you were worried about IRAN having nukes, what about a rogue Chinese skipper going Red October on us?

(backing up one paragraph in the article, gave me mixed feelings, abet some relief)

As long as they're paralyzed with fear during a conflict - I felt relieved.  But... thinking back to Pillsbury's premise, that everything China SAYS in carefully scripted to mislead the USA, it leaves the hair on the back of my neck, in an 'alerted state'.

The article author, Morgan Deane links to a previous article, https://opslens.com/king-tiger-and-the-naked-emperor/ referring to Germany's King Tiger Tank, a real marvel of WW2, but this stands out:

IMHO... Artificial Intelligence is going to drive the next war, the real decisions might be boiled down to, "Where & how do I hide myself, from these relentless AI machines!?"

Does the Chinese military have intelligence and/or psychological problems?  OR... is this more propaganda being passed off to lull us asleep while China steals more military secrets and builds their military?  Maybe both?

Man was birthed w/a material aspect, his body, as well as spiritual aspects,
his mind and soul; as Plato asserted, arguably the wisest to ever walk this earth.
As Man emerged from his Cave and Tribalism, over endless thousands of years,
attitudes, behaviors, impulses and sentiments began to emerge, permitting
structured cultures/societies to form, each having unique characteristics/traits.
Reflect on two, Ancient Greece & Rome and contrast them w/China.
While the former had many forceful leaders, they grasped that curiosity was the
catalyst for knowledge and the promoter of creative ideas.
Yet this came w/a price as opposing ideas will produce dissent and opposition.
The wise Greeks and Roman understood this, yet accepted it as the greater good;
the result being the creation of Western Civilization, a legacy/heritage to all Mankind.
No so China, which embraced the Emperor as divine since the Shang around 1500 BC.
As a consequence dissent was neither encouraged nor tolerated, whether the Ruler be Emperor, Militarist or the current Marxist.
And that is why China always was and will remain inferior to western nation/states;
as it has never encouraged the curiosity necessary to create ideas. fearing dissent,
therefore lacking the insight and will to overcome its adversaries/competitors.

And the same could be implied in the 2nd or 3rd generation of family ownership, businesses usually fail.
The kids don't grasp the vision Dad had. 

I fear what's really going to destroy America is things like the 15 dollar-per-hour minimum wage (and stupid, anti-business regulations) which has all the potential prevent smart idea-minded people from seeing their dreams come true!

Indeed we are at a dangerous point, w/far to many believing politics/politicians
are the answer to their prayers, a sad notion that is beyond embarrassing.
Indeed Rome fell, as all materiality is mortal, nevertheless they survived/thrived for 12 centuries while we are a tad past two!
Unless we can revive the values/virtues of out Founders, our outlook is grim indeed.
