With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

I keep it simple: is it generally safe enough to visit or live? I hope they don't become "invaded" to the point where they become a lost cause.

Well, in short, safe enough to visit or live. You are absolutely safe on the streets anytime day or night, because there is no street crime and you can't get robbed on the street, but you can get pickpocketed usually by some Gypsy if you are in a crowd of people and you are not situationally aware, you must always know where your wallet and cell phone are.

Now, a bit longer version. If you are a foreign tourist and you show respect, you will be treated like a god or a king, because there is a tradition of hospitality, especially towards foreigners, and there is a traditional belief that a guest is God in disguise who came to test us. Speaking of Belgrade, April is considered the most beautiful month, especially during the week when all the trees are in bloom and get those white and pink flowers with the sweet scents everywhere around. Summer is very hot. Nowadays, there is practically no fall, because you switch from summer shirts and shorts to winter coats. But we have had very nice and temperate and beautiful falls some 20-30 years ago. Winters can be either temperate with little snow, or very cold with lots of snowing, it depends on the year, but we have extremely cold and strong winds during winter. Young people usually speak English good enough, and they are willing to socialise with you and show you around. There are tons of history and stories to tell. Tasty food, cheap drinks, cheap accommodation. (And also cheap whores, if a wealthy foreigner is into buying gifts.)

Now, to live, it gets even more complicated. It is a real nightmare to start and run a private business, because you must be paying racket to the politicians in power, otherwise they will figure out how to not allow you to register your private business, or how to shut it down. The juridical system is totally corrupted, and if you are in the court, you can't expect a just verdict, or even your case to be solved at all, people are suing each other for years and decades with no verdict in sight, and to sue the government sounds like a bad joke. But if you are a native speaker of some foreign language, you can easily get some job which requires perfectly spoken foreign language. If you wish to permanently settle and become a Serb, it is acceptable if you racially belong to any range of white or brown, and even some yellowish could be fine, but if you are fully yellow or black, then it would sound just like a good joke. There are good and bad neighborhoods, so you would have to figure out a good one which fits you. We tend to be good to foreigners, but bad to our own neighbors. We also tend to believe that we are a caring and generous and Heavenly people and that Jesus himself is a Serb, while in reality we are very selfish individualists, and most people will more sincerely believe in yoga or in some kind of magical spell rather than in Christ. We are not poor, and we have never been a third world country, we are just broke at the moment, only because our corrupted politicians are stealing billions of Euros per year from the people and transferring them into their foreign bank acounts, otherwise the country itself could become extremely rich if allowed. But not being much wealthy can also save us from Muslim migrants, thousands of them are in transit over Serbia every day, but none of them wants to remain here, because they are heading towards rich EU countries. A robber always searches for the richest house to rob. Our corrupted government is already accepting all Gypsies expelled from the EU, and they have agreed with the EU to accept several hundred thousand of illegal immigrants, but I am not sure that plan can be accomplished in reality. Anyways, our population is declining like in every Western European country because of the low birth rate, and we will become a minority in our own country in the next 50 years, if things are not changed for the better.

And now, a cherry on top. If you can enjoy such a wedding, then you are truly one of us.

Lol, just a random disoriented American wandering in the middle of nowhere in Eastern Serbia on the border with Romania, spectating the waves on the Beautiful Grey Danube, and walking to see a Medieval fortress.

Great, maybe this guy can inspire you even more. He's so realistic. I am amazed how foreigners can have such positive impressions, but as he stated, for the locals, who are earning around 350-400 USD per month in average, it is more tough to make it through the month, but for an American earning, say, 2000-3000 USD per month, it is a Paradise. I miss the Belgrade downtown streets he was filming on, I used to live near, some 5 minutes of walk from the center of the city, but now I live in a suburb, and it sucks, I need an hour of bus drive just to get there.

Very weird, looks very much like Sacramento, only less crowded.
I have zero interest in cities, my interest lies in the culture and ancient history of an area. Cities are not where the real people live.

Well, it is my place of birth and my neighborhood, when I come there, the streets have special unique scent, and when I remember details from my childhood I get that warm feeling and become true me once again. There is also lot of ancient history in Belgrade, a city which is at least 6,000 years old. I love wilderness for a couple of weeks, and then I get bored and depressive. But you are right, real people live in the countryside. That is why the communists have forced people to move from villages to cities in order to spoil them. At first they needed rifles and forced industrialization, and in the last stage, parents were sending their children from villages to cities so that their children didn't need to work hard.

This is my Cetinjska Street where I was born and spent most of my life. There was an old brewery from mid 19th century right across the street, I remember the smell of hops down the street when I was going to school, but unfortunately in 2006 someone decided it should no longer work, so it was transformed into a hipster café area owned by criminals where human garbage come to get drunk and play loud music and make noise every night, so that my sister who still lives across the street and other neighbors can't sleep.

Here, you've got a Wild West town in Western Serbia, and a French café in the middle of nowhere. It is funny how the people in the comments don't believe this lady she's French, because she speaks English with a Serbian accent.

And if you seek for ancient history, then Lepenski Vir in Eastern Serbia is probably the oldest you can get in Europe, if we exclude some pyramids in Eastern Serbia and Bosnia. The pity is that the original location was flooded because of the hydro plant on the Danube River, and the town was moved a bit upwards, also large part of that Golubac Fortress lies under water.

Sorry if I am being annoying, but I wanted to share the atmosphere and some info for you to know what is happening here. Yesterday, we had a second protest against "Covid" terror and the "pandemic" measures, against wearing masks and vaccination. Only around thousand people attended the protest, but it was a rainy day and so it was expected in a way, but more than 100,000 watched it live on internet, so in reality it is like more than 100,000 people were there. At the end, there was a traditional kolo dance once again, and also a dance to a song someone recorded which became a hit instantly, about a woman who doesn't trust in "Covid" and "Corona" and "world medicine", who believes viruses can't harm her, and doesn't want to receive a vaccine, but she is receiving something else, she had a close contact, and now she's walking twins. Marxist media are exploding, calling us lunatics, claiming that all of us will be "infected" in two weeks. I don't know, the previous protest was two weeks ago, so...
