QuoteBellum omnium contra omnes - War of all against all

so that "during the time men live without a common power to keep them all in awe, they are in that condition which is called warre; and such a warre as is of every man against every man". In this state every person has a natural right or liberty to do anything one thinks necessary for preserving one's own life; and life is "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short" - Hobbes

Been playing Rust for quite a long time now, and it is pretty Clear that Hobbes was right and that Rousseau was wrong. In this game you are actually presented with the choice that embodies the important question over and over; If you come across a another helpless individual would you help him out of the goodness of your heart?

99,99% of humanity would not, as demonstrated in rust you would crush his head in with a rock and steal his stuff before he gets the chance to do it to you. And to top it all off you also chop him up as beef and grill the meat for later consumption

This game is so much fun because of the freedom, you can do whatever you want and pvp have emotion and passion as you stand to lose many hours of work if someone are able to kill you or take your property.

It also show another aspect of human behavior, in the beginning when I started in Legacy module, the pre alpha game. I always showed mercy to the nakeds (People who have just started the game or respawned) as they always plead for mercy and as this game has in game voice chat you can hear their voice which makes it more personal, and every freakin time I turn my back they attack me from behind, or when they reach equal state of strenght they shoot me in the back and steal my things. Humans really are petty sniveling backstabbing people  :tounge:

Now I kill everyone, no mercy. The game really shine in inter-tribal warfare, as you have to craft ammunition and sieges often devolves into nakeds running around with stone spears impaling each other Zulu style

Edit: This game also show that socialists were wrong regarding game theory, game theory is a fact, a behavioral Law that no amount of leftist wishfull thinking of the inherent goodness of humanity can deny.

Your pic reminds me of a cartoon (anime) I watch, titled "Attack On Titan".
Yes, like most anime, it's weird, but very interesting in how they approach the morality of issues.
One of the very things I admire about Asian culture, morals.

Attack on Titan was good, I never got used to seeing the Titans eat people though, made me sick but at least it was better than 99% of all the other anime that's out there, because there sure is a lot of pathetic shit when it comes to anime and anime fans. The mystery of the origin of the Titans is interesting, but I'm not holding my hopes up for some good fluff  :tounge:

Have you seen the second season?

No, it's been hit and miss on airing it..
I thought about simply buying the seasons available so as to get the story from the beginning in order.

My favorite though they tend to milk it way too much, is One Piece. Don't ask why, I just like it as well as Naruto Shipudan.
They're all way over the top ridiculous, but one thing they all have in common, is honor and valor, a moral message lacking in American toons anymore.

Always been more a Dragonball fan myself  :tounge: but yeah all these Japanese animation series all have common values about honor/valor as you said and Dragonball has Christian analogous themes all over it with altruism and self sacrifice. Also love movies such as Ninja Scroll, Akira, Spirited Away, Vampire Hunter D, Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke and also good family movies like my neighbor Totoro. Hmm that's another thing with Japanese animation, the children though always filled with energy and free to explore wilderness without helicopter parents always have respect and acknowledgement for the authority of elders and parents even when they are rebels they are still respectful while being smartasses like i.e in Akira.

Ahhh, a man of my own heart! Agree, it's why I like the Asian culture, they raise their children to respect one another, regardless of view points.
The very thing the US is losing to PC bull shit.
