I liked 3 a lot, but missed the Vegas offering because Rainbow 6: Las Vegas 1&2 presented everything that seemed attractive for a 'metro resort' backdrop at the time.  No need to rehash a watered-down version of Stephen King's The Stand either.

But I imagine I'll be looking forward to 4 if its location has an appeal.

We don't need Rio, LA, Moscow, London, Hong Kong any time soon.

Fallout has always been about roaming the deserts imo since Fallout 1, hope they place more emphasis on survival. Hardcore mode in New Vegas was alright, but there were Food and water everywhere which made it redundant. Hope they add things like temperature and fatigue so wearing full metal armor in the scorching desert is not a good idea. I'm just hooked on survival games like Dayz and Rust as they are great concepts, would like to see some of these features in Fallout 4 and continue being an rpg and not fps.

My issue was having to walk everywhere. I want a hover bike, or jet pack.
I finally wound up rewriting the prog and using noclip mode to get around, of course this ruined the game because I wound up avoiding enemies and lost interest.

I wouldn't mind having a strategical map like in Fallout 2, maybe procedural generated maps and content for random enemy encounters to make every ambush unique. Though having a vehicle to get around making the game a little more like farcry 3-4 would not be a bad idea with the open spaces of the wasteland, adding the need to find fuel.

You did have a humvee in Fallout Tactics.

Works for me, or even a simple jet pack that gives you 1/4th mile leaps. But walking across the wasteland and having the very same enemies attack 8 or 9 times in a mile, all predictable, is not what I call fun, but rather boring and repetitious.

One thing the new Borderlands Pre-sequel added was slam damage, where you can jet up high and slam the enemy around on the ground with a myriad of options, from ice/freeze, corrosion, fire etc.
I prefer freeze, which give you the option to retreat and heal, or stand and fight, considering freeze usually gives you a solid 7 seconds to kill, or continue slamming until dead.

I prefer the low gravity aspect, something I always did in Quake, Quake-II

I think Valve did similar for rival-studio, Bethesda's Skyrim, so you can rove-around with unlimited-clip machine-guns, against enemies who can only use arrows and blades.  I never read any followups to see if it gained any traction.  -Seemed way too easy for my tastes.
