OK, review time.
The game looks a bit dated, cartoonish, not so realistic in the slightest, this was a real disappointment in the beginning.
But after an hour it no longer was an issue, the game totally rocks, if you like first person shooter games, this is a must have.
The game comes with 4 down loadable addons, the best is the claptrap add on, and second, is the Dr Ned/Zed map, this is the first time a game has given me the chills since the very first Doom.

But the game itself has, and I'm not kidding, hundreds of guns and all have add ons, tons of different sniper rifles and I finally got a six shooter that seems like it fires 44mag times 1000 and replenishes its ammo as you fire, so you never run out.

There are four different characters to choose from, I prefer Hunter, an aging little biker kinda dude, he has a falcon called blood-wing that you can release on your enemies and literally saves your ass countless of times, another is Berserker, he literally goes nuts and turns into a killing frenzy with his fists.
The other two are a woman with phase power to walk through dimensions and the other is a hardcore soldier that comes with a turret you can deploy and hide behind or run like Hell while the enemy attacks it instead of you.

But the game took me more than 60 hours the first time through, now it takes about 12 hours, but when you finish, it asks if you want to play through a 2nd time.
The game starts over with all your favorite weapons and money, but the enemies are even tougher and much more numerous.

It takes place on another planet with animals called skags, mean sons of a bitches, and birds called Rakks, not to mention a myriad of freaks that are nothing but prisoners put there to work for a company seeking the "Vault", you'll see as the game progresses what that is all about, its the key to the game.

But the corporation pulled out and left these freaks behind to fen for themselves, so they are an unruly group with the best weapons.
As you do better in the game, it does what it calls "leveling Up" and you gain strength and access to stronger and improved weapons.

Oh and you get a car with a machine gun and rocket launcher with unlimited ammo.
Oh did I mention, you never die in the game?
But that comes at a heavy price which you'll find out the first time you're killed.

As the game progresses, you come across recordings of a female scientist, all I can say is she is a crack up, I don't want to spoil it for you.
There so many maps its ridiculous, at least 20 and all huge!!!
I've been playing it nonstop since ST got it for me at Xmas, I finally tore myself away from it long enough to write this review.

I could go on for pages and still not cover it all, the game is a riot and absolutely endless hours of entertainment.
If I had to pick as game of the decade, it would definitely be this one.

Make that months, and best of all, there is very little cursing, so no need for filters.
The worst thing I've heard a character say is "I wonder how your face would look on mine, or strip the skin, salt the wound, do you scream before we cook ya?"

The game is more funny than serious, I still laugh at some of the crap that goes on in it.

I highly recommend it...

Do you have the standard version, or the GOTY? And what's the difference, anyone know?

I'm seeing the standard version for around $20 at Best Buy around here...

Same game, but spend the extra bucks for the included add ons, or if you can, buy them separately and save the download time.
Three of them are 1.5 gigs each, oh, and do the upgrade first.
Of course theres always a damned upgrade.
