I thought this was a joke when I first saw it. At least they're playing to the kind of people who drive a Prius.

You see, were not the only ones that know libs live in make believe land.
Marketing has found this out as well, I'm just surprised they didn't throw in a Unicorn grazing in the background farting rainbows.
Maybe the sequel will have a mighty lib on the back of one fighting off the evil co2 monster.

I can just see this marketing group sitting around asking questions like:
What would appeal to an overly emotional Prozac laden dreamer that feels a driving need to save the planet?

From an adult perspective, it would appear they are insulting their target audience.
But they must know what they're doing appealing to an LSD burnout wanting to save everyone from themselves.

The whole thing screams "bad acid trip", from the bright colors to the upbeat elevator music and the quirky characters.

Oh this is WAY too funny! Reminds me of a bit by a standup comedian- he did this take off on a Prius radio commercial for the "Toyota Pius"! A jab at the "holier than thou" attitude exuded by some drivers of hybrid vehicles.
