I put this series into our Netflix to see if we would like it.  It has been very interesting so far.  The lead guy, Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane, is doing a really great job.  I love shows that have a SciFi feel to them so this is right up my alley.

I agree, he is perfect for the part, kind of like the Sherlock Holmes character in the series by the same name; always has a keen grasp for the obvious (probably a British thing, eh Boo?)
The leading ladies(sisters) do an excellent job as well, likable, as well as sensible; a well written series with great potential, as well as bloody, freakin bloody.

Do the characters time-travel or something?  There was an element in the original trailers for the series that never piqued my curiosity enough to watch it.

Only one, Ichibod Crane, he somehow had a spell cast over him by his wife, whom he had no idea was a priestess in the White Witch council, or some such BS, to save his life by freezing him in time, but they had to create some premise the audience would follow swallow.

Watched an episode last night, where they made a connection to the original settlers of Roanoke, where they had to outrun the rider of pestilence, long story short, libs watch it and ask, "was there a colony before the Pilgrims?"
Or, libs watch it and make the connection that early settlers practiced witch craft.

None the less, if you are versed in history, you'll enjoy the series.
The lead character, Ichibod, attended Oxford because his father was an English Nobleman.
Ich, sent off to fight in Americas battle for freedom from tyranny, finds himself fighting against the very thing he holds dear, Liberty/Freedom, so becomes traitor to the crown to join Colonel Washington's Army, where he befriends Adams and Jefferson.

If you can overlook the directors need to crush history into one time frame in order to make his story work, then you'll probably enjoy it. If for nothing else, the lead does a fantastic job in pulling off his part as believable, the only part, while the rest is just fill as to support his character.

Great casting none the less.
