I've had several over time.

My current one is "Fargo", which probably means I need a shrink.   :scared:

That's what I've been watching too...

These are the favorite series I have on DVD.

As Time Goes By (U.K.) (Dame Judi Densch)
C.S.I. (original: Gil Grissom era)
Crime Story (hyperstylized, fun cop show: terrific casting)
Deadwood (Al Swearengen for President!!!)
The Equalizer (Edward Woodward, Robert Lansing. Best cast of that era.)
HELL ON WHEELS (ONGOING): (Taming Wild West railroad men...and women.)
Hill Street Blues (What's not to like about roll call? And be careful out there!)
Homicide: Life on the Street (Ned Beatty. Ned freaking Beatty. On TV!!!)
Hustle (U.K.) (Robert Vaughan crime capers)
Justified (Dutch Leonard done to perfection: an absolute gem!)
La Femme Nakita [and, later, Nikita] (When looking at guns is not enough....)
Las Vegas (James Caan)
Leverage (Tim Hutton stars in a slick, funny rob-the-crooks caper series)
Miami Vice (It's the cars and wardrobe, ya know. And the music.)
M.I.-5 (U.K.) (The Brits' counterspies and MUSLIM ENEMIES THEY FACE.)
Murder One (second-best TV theme ever.)
Nero Wolfe (Tim Hutton terrific as Archie Goodwin)
NEW TRICKS (ONGOING): (U.K.) (Absolute must: older cops tackle cold cases. Terrific!)
NYPD Blue
The Sopranos (Subversively addictive. Just save money and buy the whole series.)
STRIKE BACK (ONGOING): best anti-terrorist show on world TV. Excellent!
The Wire (Another example of fine Baltimore police work...and politics.)
Wiseguy (undercover Italian-and-proud cop).

SCI-FI ON DVD

Battlestar Gallactica (remake, this time with a budget)
DR WHO (ONGOING): (Tom Baker era, new series 1-8) (The Doctor is very, very in.)
Falling Skies (Likable rebels fighting alien invaders. Noah Wyle likably stars.
Firefly (westerns and sci-fi, with a whole lotta heart and soul)
Max Headroom (When the news media is the enemy, a computer-generated hero emerges!)
Stargate (Get your ninth chevron while it's hot....)
Stargate SG-1 (more, some even better)
Stargate Universe (best sci-fi premise of this overall group)
Star Trek Deep Space Nine (Alien regulars outshine the humans: Odo and Kira, anyone?)
Star Trek Voyager (The Mr. Natural of outer space: Just passin' through....)
Torchwood (U.K.) (Weevil, weevil rock you....)

  .....Well, you asked!

Did you watch Fargo last night?   :scared:

It was so darn good.  Best shootout I've seen since I don't know when.  I think next week is the finale.  I'll be so bummed until the next series starts.

I didn't know there was a series based-on Fargo.  That's weird in a good way, I guess.

So was Sergeant Preston Of The RCMP, featuring (Yukon) King:

Lotsa excellent dogsled-action, with detective-work thrown-in...  The only thing that kept the series from being superbly-great was the reliance on too many studio-shots.  The bulk of the shows were people standing-around talking in log-cabins, trading-posts, wigwams, taverns, etc.

No, I'm on the road, but I can't wait to check it out.  I have to catch up on the last 2 episodes I think...  I really like Jeffrey Donovan too being a big Burn Notice fan..

As a child I loved Captain Kangaroo before school and Sally Star after school (Philly shows).
As a teenager I loved Big Valley, The Iron Horse, Soul Train and Laugh In.
As an adult I loved West Wing, HBO's Band of Brothers, and the History Channel's Biography.

These days I grow increasingly uncomfortable with watching violence.  Most of the shows on regular television are way too violent and negative for me.  I spend less time watching TV and more time working on my family tree on AncestryDOTcom,   hanging out in Christian bible study forums and political forums.

Our computer is in our living room.  I can hang out on the computer and still be in the same room as Hubby while he watches his motorcycle/car shows.  It works for us.

Same here. I'm at the point where, the only thing I watch on TV anymore is cartoons.

I think my most favorite series in recent times has been "Doc Martin".

It's an English comedy about a doctor who has a personality problem.

Second is easily "Fargo" and third is "Tyrant".

A couple of other fun ones has been "Devious Maids" and "Mike & Molly".

It's all their different types of characters that make them fun, and IMO, the writers are good too.

Have you sampled this comedy/drama? LOVEJOY, with Ian McShane before his role in DEADWOOD. It's a massively-talented romp among crooked antiques dealers, with often-hilarious results. It'll grow on you.

Youtube isn't coming up for me at the moment, I probably need to update something, but thanks, I will check it out.

In british show "Good night sweetheart" 1993-99. The man, Garry, travels from 1990s London to the "Blitz" London of 1940-45 and back. During six seasons he performs in 1940s and mention many songs, he clam as his own creation.
I was looking on the web for the list of songs Garry "wrote" and brought to 1940s. Couldn't find one... So, maybe I would be the first one, who collected all Garry's achievments. :)
Here all (I hope) songs that was mentioned in this series. Maybe it will be fun for people who like this series, to remember the episods, looking through the list
