Name your favorite TV series growing up.
Off the top of my head, I thought of three, but I had many more.
Get Smart, I had a crush on Barbra Feldon. :-* :D
Twilight Zone
And not the best show ever written, but I enjoyed F-Troop.
Cpl Agarn was my favorite character, wore bacon grease in his hair to keep it slicked back.
My favotite dhow was the one I sailed from Hong Kong when I was trying to escape from King Kong, but the bell kept ringing ding-dong. ;D

Howdy Doody, Paul Winchell & Jerry Mahoney, and Rin Tin Tin. Any Saturday-afternoon Tarzan or Jungle Jim film. Annie Oakley. The Lone Ranger. Sky King. Sea Hunt. Roy Rogers. Leave It to Beaver. Walt Disney Presents. Bonanza. Gunsmoke.
Then I hit started reading Ian Fleming, Len Deighton and John le Carre. So to me, Barbara Bain looked great in Mission: Impossible, and, yes, Feldon as the smart one in
that show. Back then I adored a Mary Anne or a Janet, but not a Ginger in Gilligan's Island, or a Chrissy in Three's Company.
Back in TV's Golden Age, The Honeymooners aired live, as did Your Show of Shows with Sid Ceasar or Phil Silvers as the one and only Sergeant Bilko. Back then, TV had real stars. Now they just have actors.
Rin Tin Tin was a definite favorite, along with Tugboat Annie, wid=sh they would rerelease that one on DVD, I'd grab it up in a heart beat.
But I agree Walt Disney Presents was for me, probably the best TV had to offer, even on todays lowered standards, nothing will ever top the quality for family time viewing.

The first show I saw on a TV was out of Spokane, WA and I lived in Pendleton Oregon. We had the 2d TV in town my uncle had the first. The first show I saw was Pinky Lee (Pincus Leff) he was a burlesque comic before doing children's television.
I liked Hawaii 50. Incidentilly,Jamas McArthur who played the role of DANO died just a few days ago.He was 72

Mary Tyler Moore Show, That Girl, and Dark Shadows (After school before Mom got home.)
Otherwise Dad was in charge of the TV - Gunsmoke, Perry Mason, etc... and yes of course the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights at 7:00 :) :)

My keys are all worn away, but I love this keyboard, it's laid out so well....
I really liked Bonanza and Gunsmoke.James Arness of Gunsmoke was discovered by John Wayne who helped Arness launch his carrer.
Another of my favorite shows was The Rifleman starring Chuck Connors as Lucas McCain and Johnny Crawford as his son Mark McCain.
Then there was Daniel Boone starring Fess Parker,his son Israel was played by Darby Hinton.
Darby Hinton's biological father died when Darby was just about a year old.So he grew very fond of Fess Parker and related to him as his father.

I had to buy a new keyboard about six months ago.I went to a Walmart and got a really good one for $10.The only mistakes I make now are the ones where I hit the wrong keys,but with spell check they are easy to correct.
You may be able to mend your keyboard,but you would have to find a place where you can buy the little flexible pads underneath each key.It would probably save time,money and frustration if you just bought a new keyboard.!

Believe it or not, I usually go through 3 or 4 a year, but this one is lasting like an old IBM board, except for the fact that the keys are all bald.
I wore out the keys on my Toshiba laptop in less than a year, I think it's the oil/acid in my finger tips.
Instead of the Midas touch, I have the acid touch. :D

You are probably right about the skin oil/acid in your fingertips.

The kids turned out all right, Lloyd. Ya left a good role model to follow! (And promoted SCUBA diving and Cris-Craft boats as well!)

All of which I have on DVD, including Laurel and Hardy and Buster Keaton.
TV today sucks, there is nothing like 40s, 50s and 60s TV.
I live about 30 miles from the Ponderosa, though they never once filmed at Lake Tahoe.
I used to roll my eyes when Hoss and little Joe would go to Virginia city in the morning and be back in time for dinner, if you knew the lay of the land, you would see, that little ride would take at least a minimum of three weeks.
But it sure is a pretty ride. :))

YA it's funny getting older A couple weeks ago I called a couple of our forklift drivers loading my truck Laurel and hardy They both go who the fuck are Laurel and Hardy? KIDS ::)
