That was sad. I am guilty of still watchin the show,lol.....
Sure, it was a fantasy. June always wore pearls and a crisp fresh house-dress, and Ward always went around the house in a tie, never an open-collar shirt (as far as I recall), anyway). Wally never actively picked on "The Beav," and every show had at least one lesson aimed at the 10-year-olds (like Jerry Mathers) who tuned in religiously.
Simpler times. The show's weasel became a cop, and the series became a charming anachronistic legend in its own right.
