The perfect mom and life every young girl wish they could have when they got older.
Were they in for a surprise  :o

Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession.  I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first.  ~ Ronald Reagan ~

Now we'll never again hear those immortal, delightfully subversive words, "Ward, you were pretty hard on the Beaver last night."

Sure, it was a fantasy. June always wore pearls and a crisp fresh house-dress, and Ward always went around the house in a tie, never an open-collar shirt (as far as I recall), anyway).  Wally never actively picked on "The Beav," and every show had at least one lesson aimed at the 10-year-olds (like Jerry Mathers) who tuned in religiously.

Simpler times. The show's weasel became a cop, and the series became a charming anachronistic legend in its own right.
