Quote from: LIBERALS ATTEMPT BOYCOTT of ABC's New "Roseanne" Show, After Real-Life Trump Supporter, Roseanne Barr Announces She'll Portray Herself As A Working-Class Trump Supporter
Real-life Donald Trump supporter, Roseanne Barr, is making liberal heads explode after she announced her character will be playing a working-class Trump supporter. Even before Roseanne announced her character will be a Trump supporter, liberals were calling for a boycott of her show over her real-life support for our President. It's not too hard to imagine how this scenario would have played out, only a couple of years ago when Barack Obama was our president.

Roseanne Barr said her character's support for President Donald Trump in the revived sitcom "Roseanne" is a reflection of her own views and also true to the show's roots.

I watched a few clips and I don't have a problem with the "general" story lines. But, Liberals are wrong. This isn't a Conservative show; it's a Liberal show.

1. Heavy pushing politics when the public just wants to be entertained (with the Conner family antics).
2. Pushing agendas that generally are not the majority of lower middle class white families.
     A. Black grand daughter (DJ's kid)
     B. Gay/borderline trans grand son (Darlene's son)
     C. Hippie/vegan son-in-law (David)

I'm sure there are more (including continued storylines from the original series that are Liberal in nature). But, you get the point.
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

As someone who as watched the entire series several times as well as the new ones let me say your right. The show is socially liberal, having many gays as well as strong controlling women. But it does have some diversity as roseanne herself is the trump supporter and attacks her sisters extreme feminism (she wears a pussy hat and nasty woman shirt). For all that its liberalism is  very tuned down compared to hollywood today in that they ruthlessly made fun of the gays on the show, but all in good fun, yet wld offend the snowflakes today. So the reason libs r calling it conservative is because it is less liberal then thier extreme liberalism of today, showing how far the have regressed in just 20 short years...

However it seems split economically. Yes it has a pro working class theme and supports hard work and a conservative work ethic, but it also lambastes the rich, tho never gets into wealth redistribution. In fact dan is a real mans man in many ways and they had several buisnesses throughout the seiries. Towards the end the won the lottery and the show explored how suddenly being rich didnt fix their problems but added new ones.

The show very much reflexs roseanne herself and the new one is in the same mould as the old.

(On top of all this it is pretty funny...)

First Situation Comedy we've watched in decades.

It's easy viewing.

The simple fact that I know it's not going to engage with some cheap "Trump-Bashing" disarms me, and allows me to laugh.
