Everyone loves to rock out to a great Who song every now and then.

So naturally, the London Olympics organizers want the beloved English band to play the closing ceremony. They even extended an invitation for legendary Who drummer Keith Moon to play during the August 12 Symphony of Rock — a celebration of British pop culture.

There's just one problem: He's been dead for 34 years.

"I emailed back saying Keith now resides in Golders Green crematorium, having lived up to the Who's anthemic line 'I hope I die before I get old'," the band's longtime manager, Bill Curbishley, told UK's Sunday Times. "If they have a round table, some glasses and candles, we might contact him."

If Olympics organizers can pull that off, it might — just maybe — top the 2008 Beijing Olympics' insane opening and closing ceremonies.

Moon died in 1978 at the age of 32 from overdosing on prescription medication.
