Weird shit. This all took place about an hour or so east of where I live.

Last report I heard/read/saw, there was just one critter still on the loose -- a snow monkey. All the rest are accounted for, meaning mostly dead.

The guy that owned the place had troubles, LOTS of troubles, and had only recently gotten out of prison after being convicted on federal gun charges. I heard too that his wife recently left him.

The ever-resourceful left is already using this story as an example of how strict government control of -- well, everything -- is necessary to prevent the horrible things that, uh, didn't happen in this case.

I am so pissed at this story.  They guy let the animals out then killed himself knowing that his animals would be killed.  Bottomline is he wanted to kill them but didn't have the balls to do it.  This put people's lives in danger and now the law enforcement people and even Jack Hanna who got involved are getting death threats from animal rights freaks.  Don't get me wrong I am an avid hunter and fisherman, but it really bothered me to see all those animals being killed like that.  I don't believe in killing something unless you are going to eat it.  Like I said the whole story makes me sick

Absolutely!!!!
Which is why I rarely hunt but if I had to, I'd have no problem poaching, as they law calls it.
I call it survival.

I drive by this guys place most days on my way to work and back, had no idea, the place looks like a hay field from the road. Drove past on Tuesday afternoon about 3:15 or so, didn't see a thing. There are small children in the area, I see them getting on and off the school bus.
If it was easy everyone would be do'in it.
