QuoteMom allegedly throws baby from moving vehicle seeking attention from baby's dad

A 20-month-old baby undergoes surgery Monday after the child's mother, reportedly seeking the attention of the baby's father, allegedly throws the child out of a vehicle moving about 30 to 40 miles per hour, the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office (FPSO) reports.

According to FPSO, the baby's mother, Lasasha Allen, 23, of Winnsboro, allegedly had sent an attention-seeking text to the baby's father, prior to the incident, telling him that the child had fallen out of her vehicle and had sustained injuries.

Sheriff Kevin Cobb tells KATC that Allen's text allegedly did not evoke an intended reaction from the baby's father, so Allen reportedly "staged" the baby's fall from the vehicle by driving the vehicle out to a rural location on LA 865, opening the passenger door, and forcing the child's exit from the vehicle.

Well, I just think that none of us here should jump to any conclusions about the involvement of drugs, alcohol, food stamps, or other government aid. Until we are provided with thorough details, it would behoove us all not to mention drugs. Or alcohol. Or food stamps. Or government aid.

Dang, she looks so nice too! Kinda bony, we'll have to jump up her EBT limit...  but I didn't actually say anything about that.
