Talk radio company orders hosts to stop suggesting election was stolen from Trump

A talk radio company that employs some of the nation's most popular conservative radio hosts has issued a memo barring talent from spreading conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election.

"We need to help induce national calm NOW," wrote an executive with Cumulus Media in a Wednesday directive, the same day as the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob, according to The Washington Post.

Brian Philips, the company's executive vice president, went on to say Cumulus and its program syndication branch, Westwood One, "will not tolerate any suggestion that the election has not ended. The election has been resolved and there are no alternate acceptable 'paths'. "

"If you transgress this policy, you can expect to separate from the company immediately," he added.

Cumulus hosts include Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro and Dan Bongino. Rush Limbaugh, who is broadcast on numerous Cumulus stations but syndicated by Premiere Networks, is not subject to the directive.

Was thinking about this today...

If there is "no evidence" as the Democrats claim, if a woman signs a statement saying that she was sexually harassed, raped or otherwise molested, does that mean that there is "no evidence" of that as well?

If all those statements mean nothing as the liberal media want us to believe, all sorts of things could be summarily dismissed as "no evidence exists". This would mean that law enforcement no longer needs to respond to calls, prosecutors no longer need to accept cases for prosecution and no one should ever be in jail or prison since virtually every case starts with "no evidence".

Dan Bongino and Levin say this is fake news.

I don't usually list to Levin, but I personally heard him say it is false live on the radio.

With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

Interesting. What would be the motivation behind this, seem kind of stupid....

I agree. These folks make their network. But, let's not forget unintended consequences is foreign to liberals.

I admit that I did not hear either of them say this. I have only your word that this occurred so while there is "fake news" and while that "fake news" has been reported as true, I question what they were referring to as "fake". The hype about the Wuhan virus is largely "fake". The claim that it was "unsafe" to vote except using mail-in ballots was "fake". The hysteria that the left has fueled is "fake" also. I guess I would need more information.

Yep, that would require critical thought.
Orrr, could it be the company realized their sole income from from Conservative talk radio?

Either way, this makes no sense...

Dan Bongino said that neither he nor anybody else at his station even worked for the company mentioned in the article.  Listen to Bongino's podcast 1/12.  Today 1/13 in his podcast he offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who could produce this email letter that was supposedly sent to him in this regard.
